Well, lets not exaggerate. Years ago I worked in a fulfillment department, and the time it took to write an arbitrary one sentence response is less time that it takes to print and QC a shipping label, let alone find the stock and pack a box (never mind two).

Yeah, but this is SAE we're talking about.

People already asked about that on Facebook.

Are there any big specials for the next pre-order date?

I ask because I'm thinking of ordering five titles at the same time.
(The Mechanic, The Train, The Man from Laramie, Two Rode Together, and Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison)

Bob Gale, writer of Used Cars is signing the Blu-ray of Used Cars. These will be available probably next Wednesday, at 4:00pm eastern time for about two minutes.

I do not yet own Used Cars, so this is definitely worth a shot. Thanks.

Make sure you have all the movies loaded into your cart before 4:00pm and add the new ones into your cart quickly. Also even when you add the free copy of Used Cars into your cart it can still be snatched away from you until you make your payment and complete your order. Paypal is not advised because it takes too long. Even people that are completely on top of the situation don't get the free copy fast enough. God speed.

I won't be available to pre-order on Wednesday at 4:00, so I'm SOL on the signed Used Cars, but I should get off my ass and order a copy, as this will significantly deplete the stock.

Thanks! That signed Used Cars is not a life-or-death must-have for me, but I'm intrigued by the movie, and I'll definitely take one for free if I make it under the barbed wire in time.

I really liked this screw ball comedy. I feel really lucky to have it in my collection. Having a copy signed by the writer would be really cool. Having a signed copy of a blu that will sell out in your collection will just make you like the film even more. Trust me.

Got my copy of Rollerball here in Scotland, 4 days after it shipped. Can't complain at that.

Stephen that's good going. My order finally shipped to me in England yesterday. I always seem to be bottom of the queue for shipping even when I order a few minutes after they go live to preorder. Commented about this last month when I cancelled my previous order to add Rollerball and Thunderbirds as that had not shipped 2+ weeks after the titles were in stock.

As others have said their fulfilment practices are an absolute shambles.

Did you pay any customs charges?

It is very strange. I've always seemed to have mine shipped within a few days of them getting stock.

No customs charges. I always go for standard shipping and order each disc separtely, even if I order two together. I'll buy one, then go back in and order the other. They seem to put them in their own packet that way.

My Rollerball still has not shipped, and like many here I also ordered within a minute of the pre-order start time. I guess this is the month folks in the UK and Canada get some payback over customers in the U.S., since my impression has been foreign orders ship last. I am wondering if the fact that I order most of the pre-orders available on release day means my orders get delayed. This time, my order included Two Rode Together and Fate is the Hunter.

I like SAE, I really do. They have been invariably courteous in responding to the few emails I have sent them, accommodated my special requests, promptly rectified any errors on their part (or mine), and my orders always arrive well packed even if they are late. Their packaging is the best of any online retailer I have dealt with. And once my order does ship, it usually arrives two days later thanks to being sent priority mail. But....damn, after six months of my orders shipping many days after release date, I'd sure like to get one even just a couple of days late. Especially Rollerball, an all-time favorite of mine.

I finally did get the "it's shipping" notice early Thursday evening. I was surprised that my two discs arrived in the mail today. Based on this order and last month's order (my only orders from SAE), it may take a few extra days for them to mail them out, but once they do, the discs arrive quickly.

I really think that there is no pattern.

People have been trying to divine some shipping protocol but it's pretty random.

I'm in Canada. In the early days of Twilight Time, my orders tended to go out in the first batch. Later, they seemed to be at the end of the line. This time, my pre-orders seem to be somewhere in the middle.

If there is any pattern, I can't see that it's related to geography. I think the most likely pattern is "luck of the draw".
