Jerome Kern's Centennial Summer is a winner: great music, great cast, and hopefully, great color.

Nothing interests me from the new releases except maybe Under Fire.
I have never seen it, and I wonder if it would be worth a blind buy!

Wasn't familiar with the "Noon Wine" bonus on KILLER ELITE; looking forward to it (even if it ends up just being a historical curiosity)! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0209186/

Lots of interesting titles. Especially Man Hunt and Killer Elite/Noon Wine.

Only disappointment is no Woody movie.

Probably want to give people time to buy the other 3 Woody films. I wonder how well the ones they've released so far are selling?

Ouch, yeah I didn't think about that I want more classic Woody. Perhaps KINO has a bunch more coming?

Yeah, I just got my shipping notice, too. The Train, Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison, The Man from Laramie, and Used Cars.

This, and I got my pre-paid label for getting the upgrade-replacement for The Lady from Shanghai from TCM. It's a good day.

Maybe they can up the next horror one to a 10,000, or 50,000 limited edition?
Somewhere in this thread I posted a link that discussed how even major studio catalog releases have a hard time selling a few thousand units. People want streaming more and more. It would be really interesting to figure out where the truth is. I wish I could find the link to repost it...

I was kind of hoping The China Syndrome would be in the next TT batch. I think I am going to finally bite and order the import for that one. I can't wait any longer. There isn't enough Jane Fonda on BLU!

Don't underestimate SALVADOR, folks. It's Oliver Stone's best film next to JFK, imo, and James Woods gives one of the great screen performances. Even James Belushi is good in it!

It's an adult film and a devastating indictment of US Foreign policy at the time but it never forgets to entertain. This is a thriller, first and foremost, full of tension, action and laugh-out-loud humour.

It's one of the few films I'd feel confident to suggest blind-buying. Give it a shot.

Yeah, I was thinking that it would make more sense to re-up their licenses for sold-out titles for another press run. If they explicitly said "Second Printing" on them, the original pressing's copies would still retain some of their value as a "First Printing", and it'd give others a chance to have a given movie. And maybe it might bring market prices down on the first printings.

I certainly wouldn't mind seeing a second printing of two OOP Sony titles (The Big Heat and Mysterious Island) and two OOP Fox titles (The Egyptian and Journey to the Center of the Earth, though in the latter case, I suppose I should pull the trigger on the Aussie release).

Three or four, depending on how you count them:

The three definites are Crimes and Misdemeanors (Feb), Broadway Danny Rose (April), and Radio Days (July). The kinda sorta title is The Front (Feb), which stars Woody but wasn't directed by him.

It is with Image, but on DVD only. Also, I think TT would pass because the lack of music score. TT releases all have isolated score. I was thinking TT would pu Fonda titles Julia and Cat Ballou at one point, and maybe 9 to 5.

I was reading about Fonda's AFI tribute. Sounds like it will be a great show. TNT is airing it next week.

For me, I’m quite disappointed in the announcement. I wish that they would have included more than one older film in this set.

Though I’m only 34, my favorite period of films, by far, are the 1950s or earlier. I will definitely get Man Hunt, but only have a very mild interest in a few of any of the others. I hope you other folks enjoy them though.

However, this month’s releases, with Heaven Knows, Man from Laramie, and The Train, were outstanding.
