I was reading about Fonda's AFI tribute. Sounds like it will be a great show. TNT is airing it next week.
Well China Syndrome rejected score by Michael Small was released a few years back, so they could put the rejected score on there.

Though I’m only 34, my favorite period of films, by far, are the 1950s or earlier. I will definitely get Man Hunt, but only have a very mild interest in a few of any of the others. I hope you other folks enjoy them though.

However, this month’s releases, with Heaven Knows, Man from Laramie, and The Train, were outstanding.
That's funny because I'm the opposite (I'm more of a 70's/80's/90's movie fan). I found the June/July titles to be somewhat disappointing save for The Train.

I did not know that. TT would go for something like that. Unfortunately, the title is still with Image.

November and December will probably be heavier on older titles. I'm guessing based on rumor that more Harryhausen titles are on the way.

I'm in for
THE KILLER ELITE (1975) BLU-RAY w/ Noon Wine (1966) - Sept 9th

SALVADOR (1986) BLU-RAY - Sept 9th

MAN HUNT (1941) BLU-RAY - Oct 14th

and Blob too just for the hell of it, maybe also Believers & Under Fire.

I was also pleasantly surprised (like some others) to see that my order of Train, Mechanic, Allison, & Laramie just shipped, may arrive on time for a change.

Same Here. In addition Criterion has shipped All That Heaven Allows and L’eclisse. Looks like I will be a hermit next weekend.

TT just confirmed on FB that more Woody Allen titles are coming, but none for the remainder of 2014.

Makes sense. You can only put out so many in one year at premium prices. I know I held off buying Broadway Danny Rose because I decided to get another title that had more of a likelyhood of selling out.

I have the titles already released but may take my time getting Radio Days. They seem to be selling well but are not quickly moving enough to worry about a fast sell out.

Ugh, sitting on titles like these is just irritating. At a rate of 3 a year, we are better off hoping for more international releases.

Perhaps Kino will have some of the 70's UA titles.

Theyre just being diverse , that's all it is.. they want to release a variety and not oversaturate every month with the same person or genre, which is what Olive Films did with the John Wayne films.. Nothing against Woody Allen at all but Im glad they are spreading out the releases a little

Not really. Their license was for 3000 copies of those. Only way they can press more is if the pay to licence them again.

Should be interesting when the license expires in December. Will TT relicense? Will someone else grab the rights? Will Sony themselves finally release a special edition themselves? The world awaits with baited breath

The German disc is terrific. Great transfer. I didn't want to wait forever for this one either. Watched it last month with some friends who had never seen it. We were all on the edge of our seats. A great 70s thriller. I believe its region free also. I made an English custom cover a while back.

You got my attention immediately, after my heavy sigh of disappointment over the August lineup. Can you provide us with more info regarding the Harryhausen rumor? I found it hard to swallow that "First Men in the Moon" was rumored for 2015, and no word at all about "Three Worlds of Gulliver" or "One Million Years B.C." What have you heard?

Heh. I literally just (well, actually, it was about six hours ago) ordered the Harryhausen boxed set (20 Million Miles to Earth / It Came from Beneath the Sea / Earth vs. the Flying Saucers / The 7th Voyage of Sinbad) plus Jason and the Argonauts from Amazon. I wonder if TT will do First Men in the Moon and The 3 Worlds of Gulliver.
