Good to know. Really excited to finally own Santa Vittoria. I'll order Man Hunt too.

Watched The Driver this week. Now this was a cool film. Even though it takes place in a contemporary setting (circa the 1970s) with amazing car chase scenes, it really feels like a Western. I know Walter Hill has said all of his films are Westerns, but this really felt like one. The laconic outlaw hero is even referred to as "the cowboy." I've been on an Isabelle Adjani kick recently (Possession, Queen Margot, and now this); she has a small role but she still makes an impression as the stylish mystery girl. I'm glad I grabbed a copy of this before it was gone. Only negative thing: The booklet in the case was pretty bent when I opened it up.

I've seen this film many times and watched it again a few days ago. It's just a fantastic film. I've never been a Ryan O'Neal fan but he's decent in this, but I love everything that Bruce Dern does. I think he's just fantastic in this. Plus the car chases are, like you said, amazing. The Driver is everything that Drive should have been.

Need to go back and revisit my twilight times copy of Body Double. I absolutely adore this film and it's one of my favorites in DePalma's filmography.

You can get a few TT titles for about $5 cheaper from TCM by clicking through this link:

http://shop.tcm.com/?ecid=EMC-TCM-00...M_Reactivation

The more you buy the better the value. So for instance, if you get 4 titles, it works out to about $26 each

I tried that yesterday with 4 movies, but with the tax added it only came out to $3 cheaper per movie for me. So I decided to save them instead for the next SAE preorder, where hopefully I'll get a free signed copy of something I don't already have.

3D-Blurayrental.com has it for rent-by-mail, although as one of their rare hard-to-replace "prestige" titles for $10.99/2wks.

Been meaning to get around to that one, too, just to have the Golden Age on Blu covered.

Just Watched The Blue Max . A great release by TT imo. The PQ is excellent and I highly recommend this release to war movie fans. I know The Train is selling well and I am sure this will lead to more war releases. The Desert Fox comes to mind right away .

Completely agree about The Blue Max. PQ is outstanding and it is a great movie. Also agree about The Desert Fox. James Mason is always worth watching.

FWIW, If Major Dundee is on anybody's radar, this might be a good time to pick it up as it can be had for $24.46 (+ shipping) ... which is approximately $10 less than on the SAE website.

I watched Rollerball via MGMHD that I had on the DVR. Very glad I didn't spend the money on the TT release. It's not a bad film but I just wasn't a fan of it. The rollerball sequences were great but it felt like there was nothing else happening between those sequences.

If you are in the US and get getTv they are airing it a few times next month. Next airing is on Wednesday July 2. Yeah, I know it's over the air TV and non-3D.

I know a little of how you feel. I was 12 when this came out in theaters. Trailers made it look very cool and action-packed, when in actuality it's a little slow and pretentious. Very 70's. I did pull the trigger on the TT release, but it was more out of nostalgia than love, I can admit that. I always felt there was a better movie in there, somewhere.
