ROclockCK, where are you getting the Monday, Feb 13 pre-order date? Twilight Time has said on their facebook page March pre-orders at SAE will be "sometime within the next two weeks" and "most likely sometime next week" (this last estimate posted 12 hrs ago). Granted, it could still be Monday, but in the past they have generally given more solid notice at least a week in advance.

The release date is March 13...are you confusing months?

Nope. Not for the pre-orders of Demetrius and Bullet. It was posted on their Facebook page late Thursday or early Friday that pre-orders for these titles would go up on SAE Monday Feb. 13th.

Of course, they might have altered their schedule since then, but that's what I read when I originally posted the cover art.

In terms of votes for future TT releases I'd love to see Journey to the Center of the Earth (1959). It's crying out for a release on Blu.

Coincidentally, I was just listening to Bernard Herrmann's Journey to the Center of the Earth score on the way home tonight. So yes. Yes. Most emphatically yes to a Twilight Time Blu-ray edition. What an isolated score that would be!

But Fox has always been kind of schizo with this title, despite having restored and remastered it several times for almost every home video format to date. On the one hand, they've spent a bundle on new IPs and re-scanning over the years; on the other, they just dumped it to an entry class DVD nearly 10 years ago, and never revisited it for their 20th Century Fox Cinema Classics series. Nor did they celebrate its 50th anniversary with an SE re-issue, piggy-backed on the release of that woebegone Brendan Fraser 3D remake.

So I don't know what to think about Fox' interest in this title anymore. Like Fantastic Voyage and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, they seem to hang onto it and periodically remaster/rerelease whenever a new format comes along...yet they didn't bother to upgrade it to an SE DVD, and haven't made any noise about prepping it for Blu-ray. Maybe Journey's hardcore fans among Fox management have all died off or taken a retirement package, and there's no one left to champion it?

If that's the case, and it's now up for grabs via licensing, then I hope TT pounces on it...

One of my top 4 all time favorites, dating back to my first viewing in...1959 as an 8 year old boy at the neighborhood theater! Others have lamented the spotty treatment this classic has received over many years by 20th Century Fox, and they are right on! I have been touting this film to Twilight Time since the label got into Blu-Ray, and it is indeed a match made in heaven for them. We need more support, both here, and at the Twilight Time Facebook page. Let's be heard!

No worries, mate. I only saw the postings on their Facebook page that I mentioned in my post above. Maybe they had a delay and removed the post you saw. They have been good so far about giving a prominient announcement a week before pre-orders go up on SAE, although if they hold to that this time there will only be a short window between the pre-order date and the Mach 13 release date.

Maybe TT anticipates a bit of a rush on Demetrius and the Gladiators, and SAE just wants to make sure their site is ready for the 'spike'...I mean, remember the hang-ups and slowdowns the afternoon Fright Night was listed?

Specific merits of Demetrius aside, it does represent another kind of 'testing the waters' first for TT...a limited release of the sequel to a movie already out on Blu-ray. The Robe might not have been a major catalogue sales success, but Fox undoubtably sold several times more than 3000 Blu's to fans worldwide, most of whom will likely be eager to snag this all-region sequel.

I haven't had any time lately to check this forum, so maybe it's been announced somewhere else, but what's with this month's TT's releases? Weren't they supposed to be released Tuesday? Anything bad happened that I haven't heard about? I hope they're not getting CANCELLED!!!! Gee, I hope business isn't so bad. That would leave me with practically no blu-rays to buy for months. Is whitesheik posting here yet? Does he know anything?

I'm sure they have been shipping them out all week. I haven't received my order yet, but hopefully tomorrow because Monday's a holiday (no mail).

Any chance those of you who have seen these can talk about the merits of these two films in mini reviews? I have liked my previous TT purchases, but given the prices I'd like to know more....
