the only upcoming release that has a chance of selling out in a month is "The Blob". even then with a 5,000 print run it may not (although it probably will be the most GLUTTED release on amazon and ebay.

I never did say I cared? Just reading other peoples comments on the movie across the net seemed like a lot of people were down on this film for those reasons. I stated the opposite, regardless if its accurate or not, its still a fun film

Watching this one go down should make for some great stories in the future. With all the hype going into it, I would not be surprised if it sold out in less than a month, even with the extra 2k discs. Im thinking if you order within a week you are safe, forget much longer than that and you may miss out. Who knows though, first time doing the 5k. I'll be watching lol And yes, ebay is going to be full of these.

I would love to see Lou Diamond sign some copies of La Bamba. Even if I wasn't able to snag one, it would just just be a wonderful opportunity for people to have them.

As long as they limit 1 or 2 per customer for The Blob, I don't see it sold out as quick as Christine. Maybe it will last a month or so?

With that amount I doubt they'll set a limit fewer than 3

That will definitely slow it down, but for the scalpers, there's always a way. Im sure they will make multiple accounts and still get their share. The big question I see is how many will be left for those who only want a copy of their own? Definitely not trying to put anyone into panic mode, as I think it will be around for at least a week, probably more like 3-4. Like I said, I'll be keeping up with this one even after I purchase mine, just to see how things go with this popular horror title.

I don't know. I mean it's 5000 copies with a 3 person limit for a film that wasn't that popular.

Maybe I'm just being naïve but are there really people out there scummy enough to set up multiple accounts just to purchase multiple copies of movies for scalping? I mean, how much more can they actually get per copy? I doubt there are people out there with pockets deep enough to shell out $200 for a movie. Deep-pocketed people, yes, but none that are desperate enough to spend $200 on a cult film (and a remake at that) that they could've bought for $30

Maybe not $200, but checking recent SOLD listings for Christine on eBay, the average price for new, sealed copies was between $65 and $80. That is 100% profit. And yes, there are people who buy things with the sole intent of reselling them later for a profit. They're called capitalists.

Christine wasn't exactly the jewel in the crown in Carpenter or King's career either.

Hence my surprise. Walking out of the theater afterwards, in 1983, I was stoked, and my then wife not so much. Yet, once my son was old enough to share with, he too fell in love with it. For us, it's the cars, and the music, and the vengeance factor. But I had no clue how much company we had !

Yeah, I expect a lot of people to grab a copy just based on internet hype alone regardless if they actually want one. Hopefully it will last a decent while and scalpers will start to get off the TT bandwagon, but that makes too much sense right now.

Ordered my first TT movie today.

Man Hunt . Might order a copy of The Blob as well, because of the hype.

I'll be ordering Man Hunt along w/ Man in the Dark 3D, Born Yesterday, Hard Times, The Driver, Follow That Dream, also pre-ordering The Killer Elite & The Dogs of War.

Yeah my wallet will be dry...but I'll still have plenty for September pre order time!

I did message them on FB asking if they could please update the count as I do miss the cart trick before pre ordering happens tomorrow...so hopefully they oblige!

since they only print 3000 of a title, you used to be able to enter in 3000 as the quantity when you placed it in your cart, then the cart would automatically adjust the number in your cart to the maximum number they have left in stock, basically allowing us to get a number on how many copies of a title they had left
