I wonder what they're going to add to Christine? Both sound & pic are very good and they ported all of the extras over from the DVD.

As is sometimes the case with a Wikipedia article, the language is misleading or biased in it's carefree use of wording and information. That first sentence needs revising. There was no "departure" from strictly limited runs of 3000. Twilight Time has an exclusive release license for three years in North America that is strictly limited to 3000 copies during that period, unless they have negotiated a larger run (e.g., The Blob). When the three years is up, the exclusive rights agreement expires. Obviously, they could then negotiate a new exclusive agreement at the discretion of the owner of the property, or choose to be done with a title and move on.

The fact that TT has renewed for four titles nearing their expiration - with those titles being ones that sold out well before the three years ended and for which there is continued demand - is something I think worth giving them a well deserved round of applause, high fives, and attaboys.

Don't buy the UK version,, I can confirm that picture quality is hideous; the TT release is stunning

Apropos of the TT release of the pic, an FYI for fellow Angelenos: UCLA's Melnitz Movies program will screen Chuck Russell's The Blob next Thursday, October 30.

Thanks for your advice. I went ahead and made the La Bamba and Buddy Holly Story purchases.

I really enjoyed the Buddy Holly Story. I watched it once before but this time it was more enjoyable, probably because it looks and sounds better than ever. My favorite parts were of course the songs and there are plenty of them in this movie.

Has anyone heard anything about the numbers on The Way We Were? Big Streisand fan but money is a bit tight this month. Im trying to wait and get it with Funny Lady next month. If it is likely to go OOP i can skip a few meals 😜😜😜

Its been out with them for awhile now and it is a relatively big name title.

It wasn't mentioned on the most recent low qty alert posting. I'd say you are fine to wait for the other December titles.

I see "Judgement at Nuremberg" will be up for pre-order today.

However I also saw that there already is an Australian release of the movie on blu ray, any bids on that they will be the same, I think from what I can find that the extras will be so will one edition be as good as the other?

It appears the Australian release doesn't have English SDH, so i am hoping this one does since it is a must for me, if not i will have to keep waiting, like with Witness for the Prosecution.

Thanks for your swift reply , I do not know if this release will have SDH, I hope it so you will not have to wait for another release , for me personally I do not need it.

I have only seen it once on tv so perhaps some of the dvd editions have SDH, but even if, I can of course understand wanting to have the movie on blu ray.

I believe Warner Bros. owns the rights to Day for Night while Universal or Image Entertainment owns the rights to Fahrenheit 451.

I've read that Criterion have recently been in talks with Warner and it looks like we may see a few more Warner titles from them coming soon (another Malick, is one I believe) so 'Day for Night' may indeed be a possibility.
