Just ordered Birdman and When the Wind Blows (the latter being a blind buy).

Hesitated over Twilight Samurai, but I don't really know too much about the film. Any takers?

At Close Range is coming next year.

Yes, I had started this thread:

However it wasn't confirmed that it's next year. Was it?

If you're looking for a standard samurai epic, look elsewhere. Otherwise, the film is an astonishingly good drama, with a compelling lead in Hiroyuki Sanada. I saw it on Netflix about a year ago, and I was blown away. I'm looking forward to getting a copy of the TT release.

I have to say that The Blob hasn't sold quite as fast as I would've expected. Even given the larger press run, I figured it would be sold out by its street date, and it's already a week past that. I wonder if it'll make it to Halloween.

It's a favorite of mine as well. Especially after I became friends with the woman who was the inspiration for the character of Jordan. The funny thing is that by the time I met her (mid-90s), she was very laid back and nothing at all like the character. But she insists that, yes, when she was going to CalTech, she was very hyper.

NO!!! Not Dragonslayer. I don't want to pay $30 for this one. Plus I want extras.

Yeah, no kidding. I predicted it would sell out by 8 PM that same day. Boy, was I wrong . Still, 4700 copies in just under a month is somewhat impressive given the changes in the market.

I somehow missed seeing Dragonslayer in his post the first time around. I'd love for that movie to be released on Blu-ray, since it left a pretty big mark on my childhood.

I'd rather it be released by Twilight Time than by the Disney Exclusive Club. I'll say that much. At least I don't have to join anything if I'm buying something from Screen Archives Entertainment.

imo those would be two excellent choices for future release.

Yeah been waiting for Birdman for a long time. I remember asking TT on FB and they always said they had no plans. But thank goodness they finally decided to release.

Well, keep in mind that they probably can't say anything publicly until they've actually finished negotiating for the rights.

yes they have. It is really a step backwards. No rush to own any of those titles if they are going to handle them so poorly. DTS HD Mono or at least MONO 2.0 / stereo 2.0 at the least

You mean like all the ones that Paramount and Disney put on their DVD releases of it?

Would love to see 'The City That Never Sleeps' with Gig Young in HD. Twilight Time - get your hands on this movie. It never even got a dvd release.
