I'm trying hard not to watch this... since I really want to first experience it in 70mm next month on the big screen, but of the few scenes that I've perused - wow, the transfer is eye-popping!

THOSE MAGNIFICENT MEN... (and RAPTURE) just arrived on my doorstep too -- not kidding, just a few minutes ago! I know what I'm doing this Saturday night, July 7th -- watching them!

Report on PQ tomorrow.

I thought the Bye Bye Birdie cover was a knockout. Somehow the booklet manages to top it:

Ann-Margret fans are just going to go nuts. Is she signing any of these?

Checked this out on Netflix a few months ago, after not seeing it in quite some time. Transfer was awful; nothing better then an upconverted copy of th original DVD.

I hope it received a nice restoration, those bright colors will sure look good in high def.

Cover Girl Blu-ray:

NOT WORKING

The blu-ray loads fine but freezes at the menu not allowing me to move the the arrows to play movie, go to chapter, etc.

If this happens with everyone else, post it here!

This happened to me with Journey to the Center of the Earth. Turning it on and off again solved it, like most things.

It's a supporting role with a decent amount of screen time. He's not the main star but I would call it significant.

Turning the bluray player off? That worked right away for you?

Yes. First time I loaded the disc the menu was frozen, I reset the player and it was fine.

I tried everything and Cover Girl Blu-ray still is not working.

I want to order the Blu but don't see it on their site. When does it go on pre-order sale? (I was fortunate and got to see the restored print at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences awhile back and Ann-Margret and Bobby Rydell were in attendance doing a Q&A. She is still gorgeous.)

Do you have an Insignia? Models without updated firmware (aka region-free) won't play some (all?) TT discs.
