It also helps have been offering more than one a month. They had two of them each in the last two months (Che and La Bamba in November and Audrey Rose and Under Fire this month). That may have been part of the reason why they divorced them from preorder days but it also could have been a coincidence and that one per month (or less) will be the norm going forward. It certainly makes it easier for fans to get them if they offer them more often, rather just on preorder days (since after a while the "new" preorder day would just shift to when the had the promotion for those who participate in those kind of things).

I do suppose that it's a good way to attract the true actual fans of the autographed movies (and of the filmmakers signing the autographs).

I scored autographed copies of Used Cars and Fate is the Hunter, although I had never seen either of those movies at the time of purchase, simply because they were there for the taking when I was placing large pre-orders. Both discs are certainly keepers that I am glad to have on my shelf, but I'll admit that it might have been better for those to go to real lifelong fans of those movies instead of going to someone like me who just happened to jump on an opportunity to get a free Blu-ray.

If an autographed promotion comes along for a movie that I truly love, then I'd be inclined to shell out $100 for discs that I might not normally buy to secure the autographed copy of the movie that I love, instead of the other way around. I guess that this will work better to ensure that the real fans get the autographed copies.
Just getting a free movie is worth it to me, nevermind the signature. It doesn't have to be a movie I "love", just something I might otherwise consider blind buying - as I have ordered many of the Twilight Time titles on a whim. It seems like I'm spending $100 every couple of months anyway, so it would have been nice to get in on these signed copies a few more times.

Unfortunately I've only remembered to jump on the promo a couple of times (at least one of them was Fright Night) - most of them seem to go by before I'm aware of them.

I always hold out until I want to buy at least 4 or 5 to try and save a few bucks on shipping (makes more sense than spending $5 each or whatever it would be individually, it only adds $1 or $2 for each additional disc).

Unfortunately, Fright Night will probably sell out relatively fast this time. So it probably won't be available for the next promo, unless they plan on doing it the following week or something...

Unless TT has a certain amount of promo copies already set aside.

Really interested in Love & Death and Zardoz. I am worried that this last one might go fast. Zardoz might have enough of a cult following to sell out before I can place an order, I hope not

I seriously doubt Zardoz is that popular that it would sell out quickly, if at all.

I wonder if Pat Boone will be signing copies of the remastered Journey to the Center of the Earth? I have the original release and DID score the signature. I will be double dipping because this is one of my all time favorite films and I was a little disappointed by the first effort.

I'm pretty sure I'll be double-dipping too ... unless the upgrade isn't significant. Like you, this is one of my all time faves! (I was extremely lucky to get an autographed original too. The SAE website was a major logjam/near disaster that original release day.)

I managed to add 2 items to my cart before the SAE site froze up. Now it just loads and loads. This could take awhile....

Was on site before 4 p.m. and as soon as the time for preorders arrived... no dice!
Guess the server has been overwhelmed again.... Hope it clears soon.

I put all of the items into my cart, and pushed "Confirm Order", and the site crashed.

Argh... I have no idea of my purchase went through or not.

I really don't like it when $157 of my money is in an uncertain state. I wouldn't really mind if the site had crashed while I was still putting items into my cart, but for it to crash right after I pushed "Confirm order" makes me nervous.
