If she is not coming out til 2016 why say she (Christine) is coming in 2015? Talk about getting your hopes up.

By the way...given the quick sell-out of the reissue of Fright Night, I'm guessing "no", but did the reissue have any effect on prices for the original release on the second-hand market?

It's not a film I'm interested in owning. I'm just curious.

it was originally thought that Christine was one of the 2015 titles but according to this post, it may be 2016

Good info. I didn't think it would be 2015 since the 3 years wouldn't be up until 2016.

Hi Gang, I've just watched the Original "The Vanishing" and to say the least was freaked out by the ending! My question, is the Twilight Time version worth a Blind Buy? I've heard the ending is different (I don't want to know the ending!) even though the same Director was involved, I've heard People either love it or hate it, Thanks...

Your best answer was the above from Facebook when TT made their post. It just doesn't look likely to come out in 2015 I honestly didn't see it being released again until spring 2016 when the original 3 years is up.

Why does TT give people false hope?

They don't give any false hope IMO they just don't have a concrete date yet. their contract is usually 3 yrs per release which would point to 2016. I am sure we will know more info as the year goes on / closer to end of year.

If you're that anxious to get Christine on blu, why not import the region free release from Europe? If and when TT get around to re-releasing theirs, if you prefer that one you can flip the import.

As we've all already indicated, this is not likely to come out before March 2016... Fright Night was released one month after the release date of the original release, so let's all assume you're not going to see Christine until at least April 2016.

Sucks that The Driver isn't the extended cut like the Studio Canal disc in Europe. Only 2 minutes, but still...

Yes, it's a Sony release so it is region free.

The new Twilight Time release may possibly have new special features, but the imports all have the same features as the DVD and the TT blu-ray.

Here's a link to the Australian release, looks like it's on for a 2 for $20 deal (Aussie dollars which is $16 US dollars).

I see the subsequent post about the availability of a BBY exclu Steelbook, but I generally prefer Digibooks so thanks for posting word about the original release being OOP.

The Dr. Strangelove digibook is available all over the place here in Canada, my local HMV had two copies on the shelf last time I was there. And it's not bilingual, except for maybe the paper thing they glue to the back.
