They replied to me that they were going to be handling the U.S. release of Inferno in 3D a few months ago but not a word about it since

Watched Breaking Away last night. Had never seen it before but have wanted to for years since seeing American Flyers (same producer, Steve Tesich). Wonderful. Looking forward to the commentary.

Gotta wonder what my credit card company is up to. My cycle closed last night, and my TT charge of $34.30 just disappeared ! Not on my statement either today, but SAE still shows my order pending for the 10th, so no problem there...

When you place an order by credit card, they submit a pre-authorization on your card, which usually disappears within a couple of days. They don't submit the actual charge until they ship.

No, you don't gotta wonder. That's standard for most CC orders.

You're right. I just confirmed by checking the order before this one, last September. I could've sworn they were on my short list of online vendors that charge in advance...months in advance in fact.

Thank you for your assistance, and not being a jackass with a sarcastic emoticon. Nice to see there are still a few with maturity on this site.

I pre-ordered "Stormy Weather" recently and I can't wait until "The Bounty" is up for pre-order. I love that movie!

Today is the 56th anniversary of the "day the music died".

http://home.bt.com/news/world-news/f...11363959175536

I'm hoping to be able to note the occasion with a viewing of either The Buddy Holly Story or La Bamba or both.

I didn't realize that Nickelback was formed on this date.

*ahem*

I've been thinking of ordering the La Bamba Blu-ray myself. I haven't seen it since it was released in theaters, and it would bring back some cool memories.

You know, your post actually made me think that many people in here might not even know what the heck I'm referring to. What's common knowledge to an old guy like me (59), probably isn't even on the radar for many (most?) people in here. (Now where did I put my walker? Oh yeah, Tuesday!)

You were referring to the Don McLean song "American Pie", right?

Well yes, in a roundabout way I was referring to American Pie, since that's the song that's credited with making the phrase popular. But it's been such a long time, that I don't necessarily think of the song anymore when I hear the phrase. These days, I just automatically think of the day of the plane crash as "The Day The Music Died" ... like they go hand in hand.

You're not alone. I actually remember, as a small kid, sitting on my parent's kitchen floor looking at the front page of that day's newspaper with the headline on that plane crash and then opening up to pictures of Holly, Valens, and the Big Bopper.

Both films are great! I have been to Clear Lake Iowa. It was ... I am not sure which words to use... It was kinda like when you visit the cemetary to visit friends and loved ones who are gone.
