True enough, but perhaps not as much. For two super-popular titles -- The Blob and Fright Night -- they were asking for $150 in purchases. For the previous promo -- Heaven & Earth -- only $120, or $3000 less in revenue. And the ones prior to The Blob were only $100, or $5000 less than Fright Night.

All true, except that those old $100 minimum purchases were already really a $120 minimum purchase, unless you kept rebuying the few titles they released at $34.95.

I have no use for the Fright Night freebie, the 1st edition is all I need... but I did place a Screen Archives order today for St. Valentine's Day Massacre & the non-TT Stripped To Kill lol (only 1200 copies pressed).

I wonder what the rush did to some of those titles with low quantities, especially Used Cars.

I have already seen 4 offers of First Men in the Moon blu-ray's on EBay for $56 to $65. One idiot is even stating that it is SOLD OUT, trying to sell his.

TT done a good job limiting the amounts a person can purchase...they did not have to implement those limits but they have. I don't think scalpers are a big issue any longer.

Right now there are copies of Thunderbolt and Lightfoot for $49 on Amazon. Enemy Mine for $57. Body Double goes for $60-$70. Nothing I would call too greedy, but the seller has seven
copies of Enemy Mine.

What are TT like when it comes to exchanging defective titles? My disc of "Lenny" has problems and keeps freezing up at certain points during the movie.

As long as it's still a title they have in stock at Screen Archives you should be ok. Get ahold of Screen Archives and they should take care of you.

However, the James Mason version is a good movie and I'd like it on Blu-ray also, even if there are no pie fights in it.

BLU TITAN:

I suggest the book COMBAT FILMS: AMERICAN REALISM 1945-2010 by Steven Jay Rubin. It discusses classic US war movies including TWELVE O'CLOCK HIGH, THE BRIDGE ON THE RIVER KWAI, PORK CHOP HILL, THE LONGEST DAY, THE GREAT ESCAPE, PATTON, SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, etc.
Rubin is a James Bond historian and has written several James Bond reference books and provided the commentary on the video releases of NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN and the original CASINO ROYALE.

I thought I managed to get the order through and I did get the confirmation but it seems that the Fright Night disc is not listed in it

I'm 100% sure I had the disc in my cart the whole time and the shipping fees listed in the confirmation are for the 6+1 discs I ordered.

The last few steps in the order process took FOREVER so I guess it was sold out during that time. Oh well, I thought it was too good to be true.

You should email SAE about it, perhaps orders were cancelled and they have one they can include. It never hurts to ask
