Thanks. That sounds much less workable. You'd need 500 people. If it were 50, that'd be a piece of cake. I'd buy 100-200.

Just got an email that Zardoz shipped. Good to see them catching up . . .

Weirdly, I just received my confirmation that Zardoz shipped with four other sales titles, yet my order from 4/3 of sale items is still pending.

It is clear that they are prioritizing the new release orders over sale orders, and that's fine with me because .. Zardoz.

That's not clear. I placed two orders: the first on 3/25, the second on 3/29. The first had six sale titles and one pre-order title (Zardoz), the second had eight sale titles and no pre-orders. I got the second order last week, while the first is still pending (I just checked it a minute ago).

Similar here. My orders from 3/26 and 3/28 are received and 4/1 is shipped. My pre-order from 3/25 is still pending but should ship before the weekend. Given that they're dealing not only with pre-orders and a huge sale but also with a signed promotion event and 4 days over Easter where the postal service was virtually shut down I think SAE is doing a very good job getting our orders to us.

I'm still waiting for them to ship my order I placed on April 6th. It's not a sale item or a pre order for a new release, it's a release that's been on the site for a while La Bamba. I sent them a email a few days back and they told me they were backed up to wait. I'll give them another week till I contact them again because at this pont I'm thinking of canceling my order with them even though I really want the movie.

Think how much more rewarding it will be when you finally get to own and watch it. It's a great film and certainly worth waiting for. A lot of us are in the same boat right now. This certainly isn't typical of them, but they are a relative small operation dealing with the aftermath of a rather large sale. It will all be worth it when it arrives - I'm sure you'll be happy you waited rather than cancelled.

I'll give them a week more to see if they ship if not I'll cancel with them and order from Amazon it'll be more but I won't have to deal with slow shipping

All of the others shipped from the earliest to the latest, slower than usual, but that's fine. When the Zardoz order shipped, the 4/3 order was still pending and it still is today.

Based on some of the other comments, people are having different experiences.

I really am not complaining in the slightest because I have plenty to watch. I'm just curious how they deal with this type of volume. I think prioritizing new releases over sales orders is the right idea.

What about Magic with Anthony Hopkins? I remember the TV spots for both of these films being disturbing as hell to me as an 8 year-old. Especially the Magic spot with just a head shot of the dummy talking.

I believe that Magic is out on Blu-ray already.



This is one of those movies that has always intrigued me, but I still have not made my way around to seeing it yet. Maybe someday...
