Nah, because if that were the case, my 3/30 order would have shipped already. As it stands, both that and my 4/9 order are still pending. However, just saw this on their facebook:

SAE is overwhelmed with orders as a result of the birthday promotion, but everything should be shipped out by this week.

No, La Bamba is not an April release, it's a 2014 release.

It's probably a cost issue. I've read that those Olive style cases from China were more expensive than the blu Viva Elites, but seeing as they could only get the hated Eco cases in blue, clear is likely their best option. Seeing as nobody seemed to like the ecos or the Chinese ones, they probably figured this was their best option.

I assume by that you mean those squarer-topped ones? I actually like those. They seem less fragile than the regular blue cases.

I just wanted to add my voice to the chorus of customers disappointed by the shipping delays at Twilight Time. While I didn't purchase any of the sale items, i pre-ordered Zardoz back in March when it became available. I suppose I would ordinarily give TT a break because of their recent sale, but this is a title that I expect to sell out rather quickly, and I'm worried that the delay will prevent me from receiving a copy.

I think I'll give them a call tomorrow...

Well idk how this company works but usally when you pre order companies will count how many they have in stock once they get the item and look to see how many pre order for example if they get 500 then the first 500 get the pre order and the rest go on back order. This happened to me and the sailor moon blu ray. So usally a pre order means your gareneeted that item. So for this company I bet it works the same way those who pre order get the item and what ever is left goes to those that order on or after release date.

No worries, once you place an order they reserve a copy for you....a sellout wouldn't matter

Well, the order I placed on 3/25 (which I received today) not only had a copy of Zardoz in it, but also a copy of Bell, Book and Candle, which sold out during the course of the birthday sale, as well as three titles on the most recent Low Quantity Alert list (Bye Bye Birdie, Hard Times, and The Blue Max). I got all five titles (plus two others).

So I don't think you're in danger of losing out on a copy of Zardoz. Besides, last I heard, it has so far sold somewhere in the vicinity of 3000 copies out of the press run of 5000. There was bound to be a flurry of sales earlier on, but it'll likely take a while longer to sell the other 2000.

In any event, though I don't know for sure, I suspect the way it works is that once your order is accepted, the copy count on the title drops by "1" (or however many you order) in the inventory database. So there's one fewer copy to be sold, even if the physical copy hasn't been pulled out of the stock yet at SAE.

I really want to buy the Charles Bronson movies, Zardoz, and both the newly released classic science fiction films, but just knowing that it's $30 a Blu-ray is too expensive. :/
Anyone know how long it takes for TT to have sales? There was a recent sale, but I missed out.

So far, in the four years they've been in existence, they've had exactly two sales. The first one was in March 2014, for their Third Anniversary, and the second was in March 2015, for their Fourth Anniversary. I wouldn't expect another one until next March.

It doesn't look like they are. I checked some of the titles listed, and they appear to be sold by Amazon Marketplace dealers and fulfilled by Amazon.
