I plan on ordering the Jean Brodie signed promotion deal tomorrow, it will be interesting to see how quickly (or slowly) they ship those out. Not that I'm worried or in any great rush though, I have plenty to watch before then and they don't charge my credit card until shipping day anyway

Well, how convenient and what a coincidence.

But they are not Amazon.....who is? And unless you have Prime (like me), Amazon has had their fair share of delays and screw-ups too. As for "some other place", I have had equally long waits from DVDPlanet, DeepDiscount, Barnes and Noble, ImportCDs, and a few other online retailers.

I am not trying to minimize your delay in shipping time. Who can blame you for wanting your order and expecting it to ship promptly. We all want that.

But to be honest I find your rants about needing to get rid of SAE as the distributor because one of your orders is late to be pretty annoying. I have an order from end of March with no preorder that has not shipped. Not a big deal to me because I know I will get it. And when I do, it will have the best packaging of any media retailer (let's face it, Amazon really blows at packaging even if you have Prime.....I had a book arrive yesterday in a cardboard puffin bag, complete with torn dust jacket. WTF! Really lame.)

I have been ordering from SAE for four years now. They have always done right by me. They have my support, even when my orders are late.

BTW, I also saw the Stones at the Cotton Bowl in 81 for their Tattoo You album tour. It took me forever to get the pot smell from the crowd out of my clothes I wore that night. Ah, the memories.

Hang in there, pardner.

Hmm I might have been the guy not too far away smoking it.

I have been ordering from Amazon for years and never, not once have I had an issue with packaging or any disc DVD/BD come up missing, broken or anything else. Just guess I have good luck with them although their shipping is a tad high.

I'm still waiting on my Zardoz pre-order (along with the signed Breaking Away and 5 other titles) I placed on April 1st. Am not upset or worried. It'll get here. One thing I'd suggest to SAE/TT is a simple email to customers with a simple apology and explanation, telling customers to expect shipping delays and thanking them for their patience.

We likely both get our orders from the same Amazon distribution center. I think the packaging associate assigned to Houston hates me since I order so damn much from them.

Making this sound like a conspiracy is just another way to imply that Twilight Time is artificially manipulating the market so as to keep their prices high and thereby rob the poor unsuspecting fools who just want to buy their movies.

If people want to order from Amazon (or Amazon Marketplace dealer) to shave a few bucks off the price, have at it. Like a few others have said, I'm satisfied with SAE and will continue to order direct from them.

I don't see pre-orders being available from anywhere other than SAE's website. SAE themselves do not accept pre-orders at their Amazon Marketplace store, only at their website.

Given how quickly they disappear -- usually in a matter of two or three minutes -- the logistics of trying to offer them from multiple sites would be nightmarish.

We will need to get answers to these and other questions soon as I want to place a pre-order this next round.
I really fail to see why we the customers need to know any of this. There's no breach of ethics being committed here. If you don't like TT's business practices, you are free to not do business with them.

I'm sure they will. But more than a week delay before even shipping is a bit much, and has never happened before. It's been one day, at the most.

Like many of you, I would far prefer to buy these from Amazon rather than SAE.
I did the same, I wonder which will arrive first.."The Wayward Bus" ordered today w/ AMZ PRIME or "Zardoz"(Pending)....ordered 3-25.

Well that was fast my movie I order has arrived at the post office. It should be at my house later today. I'm glad to finally have the movie it was a long wait.

I think I'll wait a while till they are done with the sale orders till I order again from SAE. I really hated the slow shipping.

On the signed blu ray do they wait until 4 before they put up the blu ray so we can add it to our cart? And where exactly where it be? Under blu ray or new release? If these signed copies sell out in minutes I want to be able to place my order at 4:01 the latest.
