Pretty sure it was this, although I have no idea why they didn't just permanently drop them to line up with the fixed $29.95 prices on all the other Sony titles. Yes, they probably paid more up front for these particular titles - but if they can have "sales" they should have the flexibility to correct for this oddity in pricing.

Google the lady to find out more about her. Retired from acting way too soon. Honestly, I'm shocked that Twilight Time was able to land her for this.

I had no idea. Met her husband about 10 years ago as I was looking for a first edition book of Legend Of Hell House. I told him how I loved the film and he mentioned he was married to Pamela and he was going to call her to come down to his shop so she could sign my book or DVD of the movie. I thought he was so kind to do that...but I declined as I don't collect signatures. But it was cool anyway.

I did not know that SAE is a little mom and pop shop in Virginia. That explains why the shipping has been delayed. Looks like two or three people having to pack and process all these items. Hats off to them as they do a great job but my goodness....I am betting they will have to have a alternative plan for the next big sale TT has.

If it takes too much longer my CC my expire

People have been telling you that ever since you started your drama fest 20 or so pages ago...

Secondly, I have never criticized nor do I now criticize TT’s business model and I don’t want to reopen any of that discussion. I have bought many of their Blu-rays and intend on buying a few more. I have also had very good luck with SAE, both with their packaging and speed in shipping and have so posted in this thread.

But now however, I find that due to a couple of my recent posts being misunderstood, I now stand accused of implying that TT is “artificially manipulating the market so as to keep their prices high and thereby rob the poor unsuspecting fools who just want to buy their movies.”
To borrow a common phrase, “Come on Man!” I have never said, never implied and never thought such a ridiculous idea. How on earth can more sellers keep the prices high? If anything, competition usually helps lower prices.
I learned from a poster in this thread that TT blu-rays were now being sold on Amazon. Other posters were discovering other retailers, Importcds, Deep Discount, BN among them were now listing the same discs. This seemed to me to be such a major deviation from TT’s business model that I thought they probably had posted some notice on their facebook page concerning this news. It turned out that another poster in this thread did post a question to TT concerning this change. I have no idea exactly what he asked or how he phrased the question, but he did give TT’s response as a quote.

All that I did was post that that response did not tell us anything. I pointed out that it raised more questions than it answered. I certainly did not mean to imply that there was any kind of a conspiracy, just that it seemed clear that TT did not want to explain the change at least to that poster. The response seemed to suggest that Amazon had just bought some movies from SAE at the normal process as they could have always done, inferring that there was no change in their policy.
That just made no sense in light of the known facts that (1) Many of the major online retailers were now selling TT blu-rays, (2) They all started at about the same time, and (3) they were all selling the same movies. If anyone actually believes that all the retailers just happened to separately decide at the same time to buy the same movies from TT at retail prices, I have a bridge in New York I want to sell you.

Does this mean that there is some conspiracy going on? NO. It just means that TT did not want to give any real information to the poster. After my posts, another poster quoted TT as saying there would be some kind of an announcement about something at the end of next month. Will it cover this new development? Who knows? I look forward to any information they will give us.
Lastly, why does it matter anyhow? Who cares? One of the major benefits we get from following the posts in this forum is a heads-up on the latest information concerning Blu-rays. Getting fast accurate information has saved me both time and money. The alerts that others have posted has helped me very much. Am I opposed to this new potential change? No, but it may change when and from whom I buy TTs. I prefer to get the facts and not rely on probabilities. I think it is just good public relations to keep your clients informed.

Interesting comments on FB from Twilight Time in response to someone complaining about their order:

We are not the retailers or shippers.

There will be an announcement at the end of next month that will alleviate the situation...
My guess is that the signs we've seen with other retailers are going to continue. Someone else pointed out that warehouse space at SAE is likely a problem. Let's face it, TT has outgrown them.

I expect that SAE will still get first dibs on the initial releases and promo autographed titles, but other retailers like Amazon, Deep Discount, B&N, TCM will be getting a lot of the secondary market.

That could mean lower prices, no more big shipping costs, and quicker shipping. It could also mean titles sell out faster since they'll get more exposure through other retailers. If it isn't on Amazon, a lot of people simply don't know that a Blu-Ray exists.

This is just another example that TT has listened to it's customers and has changed it's approach over time even if they try to make you think they don't at times.

Such other examples are re-releasing some titles, upping the limited quantity for some releases, fixing the eco-case issue, adding more extras, adding more appropriate chapter stops to future releases, removing the popup timeline when pausing a disc (based on one customer request), adding anniversary sales, etc. They definitively deserve credit where due.

I completely agree, and frankly I think TT deserves credit for staying loyal to SAE, who has done right by them. SAE is a good company, if not a juggernaut like Amazon. They just cannot handle TT's volume the way they used to, but I hope they are still a core part of TT distribution.

For a boutique label with this much success, TT also speaks more to the customer via social media. I am often impressed by their frankness and honesty. I support them with my $$$ and will continue to do so.

I would have loved to get Pamela Franklin's sig, but for practical reasons I have put all disc purchases on hold. She was just awesome in that movie and after it ended I was searching on the net for more info about her.

I have received all my sale items but I ordered the two Scorpion blu's on the 14th and it's still pending. I figured the non TT titles would go right out but I guess not.
