I received my copies of The Remains of the Day, Richard III and Zardoz today and was surprised to see them in clear Blu-ray cases rather than their standard blue ones. They look good, but a little disappointing that the Twilight Time collection will no longer look uniform when displayed together on shelves.

Seems like two logical upcoming releases - though I think TT would be better served by having them together on a double feature disc, similar to the Thunderbird films.
I would be in for both of those.

It's ironic that TT caters to collectors with the limited edition model, yet has no consistency of cases over the past year or so. Has to drive people mad when they look at them on the shelf..

The clear cases cant be had for an order less than 5,000...casetopia does not even carry the clear cases. I keep my TT's together in the shelves just like I do with my Blus from other labels...studios by alpha.

Having blue and clear cases for TT will drive me nuts .I would be in for a group buy...and would be willing to get 200-300. However, a group buy would probably be too big (complex)with too much money at stake.

How about TT selling some clear cases for confirmed customers via SAE..just an idea.

I think we might be starting to see TT bootlegs pop up in the States. A week or two ago one member posted pictures of scoring some out of print TT titles. The interesting thing at the time is that all of those OOP titles used heat shrink shrinkwrap which TT doesn't use. At first, I chalked it up to someone resealing the movies which I found odd.

Now another user posted getting OOP TT titles at a flea market for $10 each. Again the shrink looks odd and some of the titles use Blu-ray cases which TT has not used; i.e. NOTLD, AGAIG (Used Cars also appears to be in a standard Viva Elite case but this was released with a generic case).

I don't care what the color is of the cases of my TT titles, but that's me.

But for those that do care, since TT is apparently using the clear cases from this point forward, and since they do have a supply of them - perhaps if enough TT customers ask them to make available for sale, the empty clear cases (so people can make uniform their TT collections), TT would oblige?

Twilight Time titles on the shelf would never look uniform anyway. There are a couple of different styles of blue cases they've used.

Whoops sorry Blu Titan, I hadn't seen your final sentence of your post (in bold above) when I posted the same thought in the next post after yours. Duh on my part.

Just tried the cart trick, and it shows "43" available. I tried the next-lowest-count title, Hard Times, which says "50", meaning it's something more than that, but the actual count is unknown (though according to the latest LQA list, below 150 copies).

Right here....these are the ones I have. You do have to buy 50 so might be best to see if someone will go in halves with you. I got lucky and got 20 off ebay. Oh and they also have the clear right next to it.

Just be aware those are the same thickness of DVD or Criterion cases in case that matters to you.
