Received my preorders of Zardoz and The Story of Adele H yesterday. And, as has been revealed/discussed here in recent weeks, these arrived in the clear Elite cases that TT is now using for these and future releases.
As I have my TT titles organized separately on my shelves (like its own collection, ala Criterion), I hate seeing the clear cases amidst all the blue TT cases. I actually prefer the clear cases over blue cases, and with TT's future releases being in clear cases it makes sense to change out the existing blue cases, but I believe someone had posted that you can only buy these clear Elite cases in incredibly large batches, which ruins that option. To the other posters here that want their TT titles to have a uniform look on their shelves... what will you be doing to achieve that uniform look? I'm looking for suggestions. Thanks. I agree....In fact I have no problem with a 'non-uniform' look on my blu-ray shelf, I already have digibooks, digipaks, slip cases, slip covers, elite blue's, generic blue's all mixed together and it looks just fine to me. However as previous posters recommended I'll be swapping out TT's clear cases for elite blue, because in my opinion the clear ones look ugly and cheap.

I bought 100 black Blu-ray cases off of eBay last year and use them for all my TT titles.

My order with the autographed Prime of Miss Jean Brodie shipped. It was nice to see the imminently sold out Bye, Bye Birdie and The Driver in the shipping email.
So yes, I think they are finally caught up. Just in time for release day. Last edited by CriterionBlues; 04-28-2015 at 08:37 PM. |

The Driver was released in a standard Viva Elite case. On the play side of the disc there are two rings found near the inner hole of the disc. The outer most ring has an LY01 followed by the date of 7/12/2013 which is followed by 9D RJ030D.1.A VD01. The inner ring also has the LY01 and 7/12/2013 date but is followed by 9D RJ030D.1.B VD01. On the label side near the rim of the hole there is a molded IFPI number. It made be difficult to see without a magnifying glass but it will be IFPI 2UEK. |

I own The Driver and purchased it directly from SAE. TT uses Cinram to replicate their discs and SAE gets the TT discs delivered from Cinram. The LY01 is the mastering SID code and the 2UEK is the mould SID code. The 2U mould code belongs to Cinram's Olyphant, PA plant.
