My order arrived...late as usual though better than most months.

Mine was shipped Priority Mail in a USPS Cardboard mailer...no complaints here!

Tonight screening will be A Man for All Seasons!

Maybe I haven't been following this thread enough, but has anyone else noticed A Man for All Seasons was in a clear Viva Elite case? My last two TT titles (Born Yesterday & The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, both during the sale) came in the same Chinese cases they switched to about a year ago because Cinram claimed they could no longer get non-eco cases from Viva. Of course, that could have changed with an earlier wave...

Yes, they switched to the clear cases starting with last month's releases.

I think they are the same as the Cohen Collection is currently using. It looks just like the pictures in Scarface 32's post #92 in the Jamaica Inn thread, I won't know for sure until I get my copy of Jamaica Inn if Amazon will ever mail it.

They're the Viva Elites without the Blu-ray logo (probably because it costs additional money to license the logo).

I much prefer the paper bubble envelopes. At least on the receiving end. I carefully try to remove stickers and re-use them. Not because I'm cheap, but I hate contributing to more landfill waste. Another trick to resize them (smaller, obviously) is to slice one end all the way across, then maybe an inch shorter on what will be the back side. Smash all the air bubbles on what will be the new 'flap' and fold it over and tape. Plastic envelopes cannot be reused as they stretch when opening, and stickers are near impossible to get off.

Clear Viva Elites w/o the Blu-ray logo? Are they 'eco'?

Grabbed a copy of Hombre late last night. When I learned Elmore Leonard was in on the writing, that sealed my decision.

I hate bubble mailers. Primary reason why I never order anything onesy-twosy online anymore.

On the other hand, think of all the money I've saved.

On the other other hand, think of all the money I've wasted on return postage (for all the damaged goods I've received in them).

The latest word (which was a while ago) was that it would be reissued next year.

Did you try it in 2 players?
I had an out of sync problems with some other discs too, and when I tried them with another player, the problem wasn't there.

I'd also echo filmmusic's sentiment. Sync problems usually stem from equipment and not the discs. Make sure you try a second HDMI cable as this is often the culprit. I'd be very surprised if TT's Quality Control department let something as obvious as a 0.5 second A/V sync slip through

Default Bye Bye Birdie

I go to meet Ann-Margret last month at the Chiller autograph convention in Parsippany NJ. I had her sign my Twilight Time "Bye Bye Birdie" Blu-ray. She greeted it with a "Wow, what's this?" Then she said, putting on her glasses, "Let's take a look!", as she read back and front. She was delighted and had not seen one and I informed it it was a very limited edition. As sweet a movie star you won't find. If the powers that be at Twilight Time read this, you might want to send her one, as she was quite delighted BBB got a Blu-ray release.

Since there's nothing wrong with the disc and it turned out to be a player/cable issue, you might want to delete this comment before others who fail to read every post start demanding a recall.

While that's probably the case, you may want to let him report that the issue was, in fact, resolved before telling him to delete messages.
