Instead of the Blue Lagoon, how about releasing The Blue Max (1966)? Roadshow version, please.

How about a movie mash-up... The Creature from the Blue Lagoon!

A young nubile discovers her sexual awakening with a gill man from the lagoon, who's just looking for love and acceptance... until she is captured by natives, then he much fight his way through the jungle to rescue her!

How about ANYTHING but the "Blue Lagoon!" I find it amazing that with both "Mysterious Island" and "Journey to the Center of the Earth" selling out that no other obviously desirable classic Sci-Fi/Fantasy titles are even in the cue! With access to a number of great Ray Harryhausen titles yet to be released in the Columbia/Sony catalog, what on earth is TT thinking??

I have to agree . Obviously, the gents at TT like musicals and they could become a Blu-ray favorite for that genre...seems like a good plan. However, they also need titles that will "pay the bills".

wtf, did TT change the cover? I liked the first one better. I'm a TT completist. I don't want that pink feminine pos in my collection.

I still say, instead of straight remakes and reboots, Hollywood should just start combining two classic films to make something substantially new...

I'm not sure if this has been answered before but does anyone know why the columbia/Sony titles have subtitles and the Fox ones don't?

Many people? Like the ones that don't even buy TT BDs? I already uploaded the other cover. I'm not changing it, someone else can. The new cover sucks.

They kind of lost me as well. I have almost every title, but now I find it harder to pay that kind of premium for some of those titles. It's not that I hate musicals, but they are not my favorite genre and if I do want one its bound to me something less obscure.

Sony took the time/money to create subtitles for their masters and Fox didn't ????

Uh, it's Steel Magnolias, so I'm not sure how 'masculine' the packaging could possibly be.

Pretty good, but they always forget the small details (credits at the bottom of the poster).

The first one wasn't pink flowers. I guess they marketed it to all 3 women in the world that buy disc media from an obscure website.

Well, how much money and time do they need?
I made subtitles for a movie once in 8-10 hours.
And it wasn't just writing down what they're saying, but it was translation in another language..

and surely they have the subtitles from their DVDs, don't they?
Anyway..

OT:

We shouldn't have to worry about Fox's classics anymore

Warner and Fox sound like they will be doing some more good work with their catalogues in 2013. Universal will probably continue to be decent.

Now if only Sony and Paramount would get off their butts.
