You might as well have just said you weren't buying it, TT never does stuff like that.

They don't. Never have.

Maybe the rights holder found original footage and rebuilt the movie.(or they still have originals submitted to the MPAA)

TT typically doesn't give specifics till closer to pre-order.

It isn't like this is Criterion fare...

Fat City will be a definite pickup, some of the others look interesting, will have to read up on them before deciding.

I'll have to pass on this though since I already own the movie.

Mike Medavoy was also featured on a commentary track for U-Turn which was mor of a discussion on his career in Hollywood thru the years. It informative esp learning some about the switch from the downward spiral at United Artist then the creation of Orion Pictures which had early distribution thru Warner Bros. (examples are the just released to BLU WOLFEN and Blake Edwards 10)

Just an FYI - since I will be on vacation June 9-14, there will be no updates to the first post of this thread during that time. I don't anticipate the need for any updates (unless the The Blue Max sells out, in which case I will update on the 15th).

Considering that TT released the 2 Flint movies in their lineup, I'm hoping that they also release "The Return Of Count Yorga" at some point to complete the set.

Yeah I agree, I like both distributors and I love the commentary tracks on the TT titles I own. Just surprised the two films are being split up. Shout and TT should have bartered titles to keep the releases more uniform.

Alright! I was hoping U Turn would be the freebie soon. I've been putting it off the last few months in anticipation. Wish it would have been Oliver Stone but that's okay. So this time I have my four titles picked and ready to go.

Night of the generals
Hombre
The Young Lions
The Bounty

and if I decide to add a 5th title, it will be either Experiment in Terror or Bunny Lake is Missing.

Fun times!
