It was a blind buy for me. I enjoyed it a lot, no issues with the quality. Can't comment on whether anyone else would enjoy it though, given my tastes tend to be pretty eclectic. I've liked most/all of the Preminger films I've seen.

Adele H didn't bother me and I have most, if not all, the Truffaut blus Criterion have released and they are fine. If the camera goes up and down like it's handheld Im very sensitive to it. I know that's a terrible way to describe it. I always have been. My mom made sure to take a lot of home videos when I was in pre-school and Pre-K and I cannot watch them bc they are handheld and she always gets mad bc we can't share the video memories. I need steady cam in my life lol As far as the actual movie I LOVE Jeanne Moreau and I loved the Bride Wore Black as a story (Tarantino and Kill Bill are my fav director and Top five fav movie of all time) but I just don't think it's worth a six hour headache afterword.

Maybe you can let me know how Mississippi Mermaid is after it arrives and you have a chance to watch it. Because like I said I think as far as actors and story go I will love it but handheld cameras just won't do for multiple viewing for me.

Apparently, Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins is to be a future Twilight Time title. Kino is releasing a DVD of the film later this year and they've gotten DVD-only rights to some Twilight Time titles in the past.

Odd, I've never had a problem with Foxconnect. I just ordered 11 discs during their most recent flash sale, so I hope that doesn't change.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but TT confirmed on FB that The Gang's All Here (1943) will get a release from them.

Would anyone be willing to trade a TT edition of First Men in the Moon or Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger?

I've got a Criterion Howards End (recently replaced for a non-bronzed edition) and a copy of Altman's The Player (with L.A. Confidential and Body Heat) for those looking for rarities.

I also have some obscure John Carpenter tribute posters of note.

First Men in the Moon is still available to order from Screen Archives Entertainment. It is not OOP.

Does Twilight Time have sales? I want to purchase Places in the Heart, but I am afraid it well sell out before I get the chance if I wait for the next sale. I've only bought one TT release thus far, As Good As It Gets.

They have a sale every April. It is an anniversary sale, the 2nd week of April if I remember right....

Well, they've had a sale on some titles the last two years. Whether they have a sale next year remains to be seen. Another deal is their free promos. If the free signed title is one you would have bought anyway, then that brings the cost per title down about $7 per.

Thank you! I will just have to keep an eye out for deals.

Others have already described the sales.

I really don't think you have to worry about Places in the Heart going OOP any time soon. The speed with which TT titles go OOP is exaggerated. So far, cult horror films are the only titles of theirs that have gone OOP in less than two months. The vast bulk of their OOP titles took a long time to get there. In my sig is a link to a list of the OOP titles, with dates they went up for pre-order and the dates they sold out, so you can get an idea of how long it takes what kinds of titles to sell out.

SAE has also had a 10% wishlist discount over the past few years. To qualify and to receive the email you must have items in your wishlist. The last three were in August 2012, November 2013 and July-August 2014.

Thanks. Money is a little tight and they were the main two Twilight Time discs I am after. Since some people buy multiples for future trades I was just hoping Sinbad in particular was still around.

I would like to see that happen. I have over 10 BD's in my wish list.

Finally watched RAPTURE per everyone's recommendation on here. I've had it since my first TT purchase a couple years ago. Truly an undersung film, everywhere but in this thread anyway. Gorgeous high-contrast black & white cinematography, and the Blu-ray looked fantastic. A healthy amount of grain and rich blacks. So thanks to all of you that recommended it throughout this thread.
