I have a question...is the new Twilight Time site buying directly from TT? Or is it a front by Screen Archives??
I can only hope it is a direct site since it didn't have my information etc and can't be any worse than SA....but curiosity is wicked master...lol |

Motion capture is the technique that was used in the latest Tintin, right? So it must be a new film and not old.. or maybe it could be something like "Waking Life"? (considering it doesn't have a US release and it's from FOX) Last edited by filmmusic; 07-06-2015 at 08:21 PM. |

edit: Seems there aren't many choices: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/07/...-in-the-movies But i can't think of any motion capture film that hasn't been released already. Only the Sinbad one. Last edited by filmmusic; 07-06-2015 at 10:29 PM. |

...and the next SAE signed promo appears to be the remastered JTTCOTE signed by actress Diane Baker, this coming Wednesday. I'll be passing on it since I already have the movie, plus just finished spending all my money on the recent Fright Night promotion

It's similar to rotoscoping, but it's not the same. Rotoscoping used filmed performances of actors as guides for character movement. The animation was still done by hand. With motion capture, the actor wears a suit with markers to help identify where each part of the body is in relation to every other part of the body as the actor moves around. This is mapped directly into a data file which is used to create a 3D model of the performance.
