I received my order today from the Twilight Time/Cinram site and can confirm the order is shipped with a packing list without prices.

Now that TT has their own site will SAE continue to be allotted some amount of TT product, or will TT's site soon be the only site to order TT bds from?
just wondering.

Any idea when the new titles come up to order? Does TT do preorders or does it only come up on release?

I placed some orders with SAE and TwilightTime and received both in fairly quick order. So no complaints here. Though i wish they would offer some discount codes more often for customers who purchase a lot of titles.

Preorder dates, when known, are posted in the first post of this thread. The August titles go up for preorder on 29 July.

I just found out TT now has its own site (ironically, in noticing the printing errors at the bottom of Guess Who's Coming to Dinner's back cover -- not sure if it's a mockup or the real thing). Question: Do all TT site orders ship from Cinram's Olyphant, PA plant (which made all TT discs thus far), or will they ship from Huntsville, AL if it's closer? I'm generally happy with FoxConnect deliveries from Huntsville (got DOFP Rogue Cut a day early via USPS), but given how TT operates I suspect Cinram will ship from Olyphant; if so I might just stick with SAE.

It seems the orders are shipping from the La Vergne, TN warehouse or at least mine did.

I didn't know Cinram had anything there, but that's as close to me as Huntsville (maybe a bit closer), and definitely closer than Virginia or Pennsylvania.

A question to the more knowledgeable folk out there…I know that TT obviously once had the rights to The Big Heat and it has since gone out of print/availability…but does anyone know it's current rights status? Or any potential future chance for release? It's one of my most wanted blurays personally, so any info would be appreciated.

No idea, but I do know there is a french release limited edition and a Spanish release with the exact bitrate and probably from the same transfer. Both are region free.

The spanish one at 9 bucks is not a bad deal.

The inside art is a nice touch with the clear cases. Anyone know if that just started with this month's releases or did they make the change earlier?

For those of you who are not on Facebook, TT posted this great article about physical media and the niche blu-ray market - http://homemediamagazine.com/comic-c...al-media-36233

A saw that, but I hated how they use TT as a model to say there isn't much demand for physical media. They mention how with 3000 copies it takes TT a year and a half to sell. Without mentioning that most of these titles are very obscure movies and not the best and selling for $30.00 with no extras. They could have just as easily turned that argument on its head and mentioned how fast some of the more popular titles like Christine and Fright Night sold.

I've been amazed at how many boutique labels have sprouted up with many obscure titles. Obviously they are directed at collectors, but it seems to be a rather good market. I feel most companies aren't content to make a good product and get a good profit. They expect every release to knock it out of the park.

The fact is a lot of Movies/TV series are going to have expensive restorations just to bring them into HD era so they can be sold to TV channels, Digital providers, Itunes etc. Printing discs and cases costs nothing in comparision. To turn around and say all this money spent on restoration was for a Bluray that didn't sell seems shortsighted. These HD transfers will benefit the studio's for years to come.

Why does these B-S points still keep being made? Most TT releases these days do have extras, and films like As Good As It Gets, Sleepless in Seattle, Philadelphia, Oliver, et al are hardly obscure and they either took a long time to sell out or are still available years after their initial release.

Well in comparison to other titles going for $30.00 TT titles don't usually come with a lot of extra's for the price. They have gotten better at that for sure. I'm not bashing them. I have a ton of their titles and have supported them since their first Bluray release. Again not trying to start the same tired old arguments all the haters usually bring to this forum.

For the less obscure titles most did sell out rather quickly. I'd argue had they been in the store shelves they would have sold a lot more then 3000. Their argument in the article is there is no real demand for physical discs using TT as the model to backup that claim. I only put up a counterpoint to that.

The problem is most consumers aren't willing to pony up $30 for those less obscure titles. Nor does it help when Sony released those same titles overseas for a fraction of the cost.

The other variable is Twilight Time is still an obscure label with all things considered. Yes, more people know about them, then when they first arrived on scene, but most consumers do not.

I would suggest buying a gently used copy, as I did. Sure it's a few dollars more, but so worth it in my opinion. I took the liberty of looking for a copy, for you, and I would go with the Amazon Fulfilled choice myself, since Amazon will have your back should anything not be to your liking.

I had never heard of Captain Harlock before the speculation in this thread, and in general I'm not an anime or even general animation fan, but I just watched the trailer and it looks pretty cool! I think this is definite preorder material for me.

You mean you even hadn't heard of the old series and movies?
