As of 9:17 pm CST there are still 3 copies left of the autographed U-Turn.

Glad to see this one hang around long enough for anyone who wants it to get one. I am happy to be one of them. Thanks, TT.

I missed out on the June U-Turn promo by a matter of seconds. I was on vacation and had forgotten it was promo day. That evening I remembered and decided on a whim to check the SAE site on my phone. To my surprise there was still one copy of the signed promo left. With SAE's double log-in system, the checkout process on their website using a phone is a bit of a pain and takes extra time. Just as I was in the final confirmation of my order I noticed the free U-Turn had disappeared from my cart. Rats.

I guess I am not too surprised it has lasted over 48 hrs considering this is the third Oliver Stone signing, it was already released in June as a signed promo, and the cost of admittance has risen to five titles.

In keeping the first post of this thread up to date, I have removed the order link for TCM.

For the time being, TCM is not a Twilight Time order option. This may or may not change in the future. From a Facebook posting by TT several days ago, this has nothing to do with TCM. Apparently, TT is not happy with the company that fulfills TCM's store orders.

I don't blame them as Delivery Agent has been the root of the problems with other TCM Shop orders in the past.

I just found out TT charge in US currency regardless of location so I ended up paying 90$ for two Blu-rays in CA dollars... Here's to me never buying from TT ever again!

You expected something different from a US company? Two TT titles, before shipping, cost $59.90 USD which is $80 CAD. Did you really expect them to sell you two titles to Canadians for less than they charge Americans?

No, I'm not blaming them, I'm blaming me. But I still won't buy their product until our dollar rises a bit. They're already too expensive even if you're in the US...

I can understand that as the CAD is pretty low these days. Unfortunately, the TT prices are the new normal for smaller labels.

For 60$CAD I got the MoC Imamura box set (8 movies, 12 discs). Most Olive and Kino titles can be bought for around 15-20$ on Amazon Canada. Arrow titles are often on sale and I usually pay around 15-20$ each. Criterion are usually 30$ here but most of the time they're chock-full of extras.

So sadly Twilight Time are still very much the exception, even if you factor in the low CAD.

See Alfredo Garcia is one of the rare titles I'll pay 45$ for.

I just spent the afternoon watching my Twilight Time Blu-ray of Zulu. This was my first time watching the movie.

Zulu is quite a treasure, and I was enthralled from the opening scene onward. Even the first hour, before the battle starts, kept me engaged. The movie looks great on Blu-ray, although not quite perfect. (I know that there is a lot of debate about this, but Twilight Time looks like the winner for me when it comes to the screencaps.)

I did email SAE just now to ask for a replacement disc, though, because, as I was watching the audio commentary after watching the main feature, the disc froze around the 1:17:00 mark, and it continued to do so even after I ejected the disc a few times. I'm not sure why it did not freeze the first time through, but it freezes and locks up around that mark every time I put the disc in afterward.

Twilight Time titles can be finicky depending what player you're using to play them on. I have a Vizio player in my bedroom and almost all TT titles won't play on it. I'm able to get to the main menu but there is no cursor that pops up so that I can navigate the menu choices. It also means I can't tell the player to just play the damn disc. But all the titles work well on my PS3.

I have a Samsung Blu-ray player, and I've never had trouble with any Twilight Time discs (or any other discs, for that matter), up until now. These things are bound to happen, though.

I agree! This is one of my favorite movies, Twilight Time or not. I have both the UK and TT releases and my preference is for the TT release, mostly because I feel that the UK version is slightly distorted, which once I see the distortion, I can't *not* see it anymore ... it bugs me. And I know everybody won't agree with me on this either, but I prefer the color "palette" of the TT release also. To me, it's more true. (When I first bought the UK release, I didn't think it could be beat. But I slowly changed my stripes after seeing the TT release).

I don't understand why this movie isn't more popular, in general.

The maximum per order is 42 cases. I'm guessing that is the max weight or dimensions of the USPS Priority Mail option they're using. But you can place multiple orders.
