While I'd be inclined to agree with you in principle, but let's not get carried away.

(1) Anyone who is "happy to watch whatever is streaming in the cheapest service they can get" isn't likely to want to pay Twilight Time's prices, no matter what the title is.

(2) Streaming services (even the cheap ones) don't necessarily show only worthless films. I pay $7.99 a month for Netflix, and have seen quite a few older and/or notable films. Films like Dassin's The Naked City, Hawks's Scarface, Carne's Thérèse Raquin, De Sica's The Bicycle Thief, Sverak's Kolya, Tarr's The Turin Horse, Arnold's Fish Tank, Ceylan's Once Upon a Time in Anatolia, Rossellini's Escape by Night, Hirschbiegel's Downfall. Plus several silent films by folks like Buster Keaton, Fritz Lang, and Ernst Lubitsch.

Shampoo is Columbia and we know they have been on the ball with quite a few of their contemporary classics of late; it's probably my most wanted of that era. That and the two great TT Ashby announcements will finally allow a complete Ashby festival in proper style. Great announcements all around imo.

I heard on the same POD cast (2 weeks ago) that Warren Beatty wanted Criterion to release Shampoo, so they were going to do it. And it is a Sony title from Columbia Pictures not WB. So I think it is a done deal. He also mentioned The In-Laws, which is a WB title is coming.

I watched my old DVD of "Shampoo" recently and man the transfer is poor. A restoration would be great. Julie Christie was so, so sexy in that film. I'd love to see an interview with Beatty as well, as you really can't find many of them and Warren is getting up there in age.

I just noticed on Facebook that Nick Redman is looking into obtaining Panic Room. So it looks like maybe the Mill Creek titles released only on DVD could be up for grabs for Blu ray, as with The Last Detail.

Yep, just because one company releases something on DVD doesn't necessarily mean they have the Blu-ray rights too.

I'd love to see Panic Room released as we've waited far too long for this to get a release.

It is the only David Fincher film not on Blu-ray.

Was wondering when the signed promo was coming this month. Going with:

Count Yorga
Strange Invaders
Scream and scream again
10 to Midnight
At Close Range

Should I get Vampires? I don't want my order held until Vampires ships but could it sell out that quick?

Most of TT's signed promo copies require buying 5 titles regardless of who's signing. It used to be only 4 but I guess they've gotten greedy this year.

I received the replacement booklet for At Close Range over the weekend. Thanks to SAE & Twilight Time for addressing the issue and sending out the replacement without me asking.

Haha. State of Grace was one of the seven titles that I ordered a couple of weeks ago. All of the people in this thread who called me out for not waiting to see what the signed promo would be were right.

No big deal, though. I'm happy to own the Blu-ray in any form or fashion.

Yes, my thanks too; received mine here in the UK. Nice to see a company with some class and some respect for its overseas customers.

Unfortunately, according to the Kino rep, TT are in violation of their licence so I fully expect the company to soon be raided by the FBI and shut down for good.

So thanks TT. It was great while it lasted.

I am really glad TT chose this for the cover art...I always thought the poster was a real attention grabber.
