My nephew, who is 21, thinks a movie from 2005 is "too old". He scrolls down whatever online movie service he's currently using and if he sees a date older than 2014 he skips over it. One of these days, if I decide I care enough, I'm going to blindfold him and pop in one of my BDs (maybe Raiders of the Lost Ark) and tell him it's a recent film. If he's smiling after it's over, I've done my job. If he shrugs, all is lost

Also not trying to read too much into what you wrote, but I have read similar posts all over this forum. I hear it from 20- and early 30-somethings at work. My own brother, who is in his 40s, doesn't care for a movie if it's black and white (which further supports my suspicions he is a changeling left in the crib).

So I will take a moment to stand on my soap box and shout to anyone who will listen. Not to condemn those who cannot see but to enlighten and generate some wonder of new discovery in those who are willing to hear.

There many reasons I LOVE 50s and 60s movies. Here are a few:

Billy Wilder, Samuel Fuller, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Anthony Mann, Alfred Hitchcock, Richard Burton, Robert Mitchum, Burt Lancaster, Deborah Kerr, Cary Grant, Steve McQueen, Marlon Brando, Elia Kazan, James Stewart, John Ford, John Huston, John Wayne, William Holden, Kim Novak, Jean Simmons, Glenn Ford, Rock Hudson, Montgomery Clift, James Dean, Humphrey Bogart, Katherine Hepburn, Fred Zinnemann, Bernard Herrmann, William Wyler, Ray Harryhausen, Frank Sinatra, Grace Kelly, Charlton Heston, Shirley McClaine, Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis, Gregory Peck, Kirk Douglas, Ida Lupino, Vincent Price, Elizabeth Taylor, Debbie Reynolds, Doris Day, Shirley Jones, Natalie Wood, Ava Gardner, Ruth Roman, Alec Guinness, James Mason, Joanne Woodward, Martha Hyer, Jeanne Moreau, David Niven, Eva Marie Saint, Anne Baxter, Yul Brenner, Alan Ladd, Jerry Lewis, Dean Martin, Judy Holliday, Sterling Hayden, Lee Van Cleef, Peter Sellers, Paul Newman, Robert Ryan, Van Heflin, Lee Marvin, Hope Lange, Geraldine Page, Mercedes McCambridge, Simone Signoret, Bibi Andersson, Gloria Grahame, Sidney Poitier, David Lean, Otto Preminger, Nicholas Ray, Stanley Kubrick, Joseph L. Mankiewicz, Omar Sharif, Robert Shaw, Robert Wise, Clint Eastwood, George Stevens, George Pal, Paul Scofield, Alain Delon, Henry Fonda, Jack Nicholson, Raquel Welch, Catherine Deneuve, Diana Rigg, Nancy Kwan, Peter O'Toole, Anthony Quinn, Sean Connery, Dustin Hoffman, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Jack Hill, Curtis Harrington, John Cassavetes, Spencer Tracy, Gene Kelly, Rex Harrison, Dick Van Dyke, Ann Margret, Julie Andrews, Blake Edwards, Gary Cooper, Marcello Mastroianni, Claudia Cardinale, Sophia Loren, Anita Ekberg, Max von Sydow, Ingmar Bergman, Roberto Rossellini, Vittorio De Sica, Federico Fellini, Jean Pierre Melville, Henri-Georges Clouzot, Alain Resnais, Francois Truffaut, Jean Luc Godard, Jacques Demy, Jacques Tati, Mikhail Kalatozov, Kenji Mizoguchi, Akira Kurosawa, Yasujiro Ozu, Masaki Kobayashi, Nagisa Oshima, Kinuyo Tanaka, Tatsuya Nakadai, and the
great Toshiro Mifune......

The list goes on and on.

Thus endeth the lesson for today.
Great list oildude. I doubt a similar list can be compiled with today's talent. Not even close.

It's dig at Kino Lorber Studio Classics. They won't send replacements for discs that have been mastered incorrectly to overseas customers, claiming it's some sort of "violation" of their license with the studio. LOL. Strange that TT have no such problem.

oildude or anyone else should make a list of today's "talent." Just to compare to the previous list.

I think this is the case, but for those with experience, shipping is cheaper on TwilightTimeMovies.com when you order two titles compared to one, correct?

I want to order Count Yorga, Vampire but might just wait until tomorrow afternoon to add John Carpenter's Vampires to the order to save a little in shipping.

Or, alternatively, it's a Western version of KING LEAR with sons instead of daughters.

Sorry to open this back up. But is John Carpenter's Christine still being re released by TT in 2016? Will it have new features?

It's already re-released by Sony themselves.

“Dandy fantasy adventure, done with great skill and imagination, keyed by a fine Bernard Herrmann score, a pip of this kind.”
—The New York Times

“It should thrill the gee-whillickers out of anybody." —Time Magazine

Mysterious Island (1961) – Jules Verne’s sequel to his own “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea” – is brought to the screen in spectacular fashion by director Cy Endfield (Zulu) and special effects master Ray Harryhausen (Jason and the Argonauts), who weave the adventure-packed tale of a motley crew of Civil War escapees and shipwreck victims cast away on a remote Pacific isle. There they encounter the redoubtable mad genius, Captain Nemo (Herbert Lom), and the startling products of his scientific experiments: gigantic creatures of every description, all crafted with that special brand of Harryhausen magic. Presented in a pristine new transfer, with Bernard Herrmann’s superlative score featured as an isolated track.

Good to hear about MYSTERIOUS ISLAND being reissued.
Hopefully the new special features also include the previous ones, too.

SAE charges when they ship, right? For example, if I preordered an item, SAE will charge me when it ships?

Anyone think Twilight Time might possibly go back to press on Body Double, The Fury, and/or Night of the Living Dead (90s)?

I ordered my first TT film directly from the website this week. I was surprised they still had copies of Mississippi Burning available. I'll definitely be checking in weekly to the website to see what else is on the slate to release.
