ScreenArchives.com is the only place..unless you want to pay a lot more from an Amazon reseller or on e-bay from people that purposely purchase extra copies to resell

You can get it at the Screenarchives site, or if you wait a few weeks after release Screenarchives usually lists titles on amazon.com as a 3rd party seller. The price might be slightly higher to cover the amazon selling fees and you'll still be buying it from the same seller, but if you have an amazon.com gift card you will be able to apply it towards your purchase.

A quick and heartfelt shout out to Nick Redman of Twilight Time.
He took note of the fact that I posted about being diagnosed with prostate cancer (the day before getting the BYE BYE BIRDIE Blu-ray) and has taken the time to send me some very encouraging private messages. For the amount of grousing I do, I don't really expect I warrant such kind attention ![]() And, hopefully, I'm too mean to die. |

Also, for much of the series, these shows were filmed in long chunks, live, so there's a lot of ad-libbing. Silvers could really think on his feet. Give Bilko a chance before you write him off. |

And geeez, will you look at The Big Heat climbing back in there! Actually, I think that's the title I'd be more worried about selling out. Last edited by ROclockCK; 08-21-2012 at 12:20 PM. |

![]() Also, post-Journey, this list pretty clearly reflected the steady, renewed buyer interest in Mysterious Island until that TT title finally sold out too. So I was being very careful to note that this is only an indicator of relative buyer interest, which indeed, appears to be true. And yes, I do think it's "interesting" that The Big Heat keeps popping in there. If that was a TT title I didn't already have, I would be thinking seriously about adding it to my cart sooner rather than later. Last edited by ROclockCK; 08-22-2012 at 06:23 AM. |

Out of idle curiosity, I compiled the following list of all Twilight Time titles to date* (Blu-ray plus DVD) broken down by Composer, and grouped according to their representation in the collection:
3 Hugo Friedhofer - Violent Saturday (DVD), Woman Obsessed (DVD), The Rains of Ranchipur Jerry Goldsmith - Fate is the Hunter (DVD), Stagecoach (DVD), The Flim-Flam Man (DVD) Bernard Herrmann - The Egyptian (co-scored with Alfred Newman), Mysterious Island, Journey to the Center of the Earth Alex North - Bite the Bullet, Désirée, The Sound and the Fury Franz Waxman - Demetrius and the Gladiators, My Cousin Rachel (DVD), Beloved Infidel 2 Georges Delerue - Rapture, Steel Magnolias 1 Malcolm Arnold - The Roots of Heaven Georges Auric - Bonjour Tristesse Burt Bacharach - Lost Horizon (1973) David Buttolph - Swamp Water Robert Drasnin - The Kremlin Letter (DVD) George Duning - Picnic, Bell Book & Candle Ira Gershwin - Cover Girl (co-scored with Jerome Kern) Ron Goodwin - Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines Leigh Harline - The Wayward Bus Lorenz Hart - Pal Joey Maurice Jarre - Enemy Mine Jerome Kern - Cover Girl (co-scored with Ira Gershwin) Henry Mancini - High Time Paul McCullough - Night of the Living Dead (1990) Arthur Morton - The Big Heat Alfred Newman - The Egyptian (co-scored with Bernard Herrmann) Basil Poledouris - The Blue Lagoon Richard Rogers - Pal Joey Charles Strouse - Bye-Bye Birdie Henry Vars - The Big Heat Victor Young - The Left Hand of God (DVD) Hans Zimmer - As Good As It Gets Interesting breakdown. Some 'hero' Composers for this label (2 - 3 titles) have already begun to emerge. Anyway, this is for the Score fans among us. Just file under: "dog days of summer, with too much time on my hands..." ![]() * Through the end of the year and current range of announcements, listed in alphabetical order. DVD only titles in (brackets). Last edited by ROclockCK; 08-24-2012 at 09:20 PM. |

To my surprise, I did receive a magnet with Bye-Bye Birdie and High Time, but it was one I've never seen before:
![]() Is this generic TT collection 'roll-up' magnet something new? |

I'm a long time lurker and newbie member of the site, but I have a question in regards to the releases. There are a few that I want to get, mainly Picnic, Bye Bye Birdie, and Steel Magnolias, so far but i'm hesitant b/c of the price and the idea that they may be released later on like The Grapes of Wrath. I just can't see Bye Bye Birdie and Steel Magnolias not being moderate sellers out in the main market. Is there a time frame set on these, or is it just a buyer beware situation where it could be possible that they could be released mainstream in a few months to a year of so?

As for availability, TT has a minimum 3 year window of exclusivity for its titles, at least domestically. Actually, we have an interesting quality comparison coming up with The Rains of Ranchipur, which will also be released by Fox Germany (Region B locked?) at roughly the same time as TT's domestic market edition. For most TT titles though, there are no comparable Blu-ray editions from other companies or regions. |
