I must say, this is one of the greatest threads I’ve seen on any audio/video forum…..i.e. normal people (with actual knowledge) talking normally to each other. Not sure if it's a sports thing or a Prem thing.

What I mean by 'normal' is that despite football supporters being known for being rabid fans of the sport and their teams in the real world, there is no *fanboy-ism* here or hero worship of inanimate objects like TVs.

If I had the time, I could read this thread for hours and be quite happy.

I didn't wanna jinx anything by saying that England's luck wasn't in after hitting the woodwork several times and having some stunning chances go begging, but to lose it like that with a horribly freakish OG was absolutely gutting.

Good luck with the final on Sunday Penton.

In some ways it helps that we can actually pit our teams together in competition, i.e. there's a definable result that will stand for the ages, so we take it on the chin/celebrate like loons and move on to the next week, whereas all that tech willy-waving (look it up Penton) never really has any definable winner because every single tech (ever) has had its pros and cons.

I didn't even know we were interested in him, to be honest with you. Shame it got rejected, that is a big bid for a club like Leicester, wonder if they'll still go higher.

I was surprised that Leicester made a big bid like that too.

Fine with me, while at Arsenal I felt he was an underachiever and had been given plenty of time to prove otherwise.

On the other hand, Alexis - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/art...-shootout.html

I didn't want wenger to sell him penton good finisher and always makes a impact when he comes on as a sub.
But wenger never used him to the best of his ability and played him out on the left wing too often instead of his normal role as a striker but he is gone now and wish him the best of luck at Galatasaray.
I am happy for Sanchez that Chile won.

Sounds like Robin van Persie is headed out of Manchester United, that team sure is a mess right now.

Rumors in England and Turkey have Robin van Persie creating an Old Trafford reunion tour at Fenerbahce next season.
Things were supposed to go differently for Robin van Persie at Manchester United after Louis Van Gaal took over. He was coming off a strong World Cup performance for the same manager and everything looked primed for him to put his lost season under David Moyes behind him. It was not to be as his first season under Van Gaal went just as poorly as his season under Moyes. With a first team place unlikely, van Persie is apparently looking to Turkey as a way to get things going again. Should van Persie leave, the list of needed acquisitions in the next month is going to be steep at United with a David De Gea replacement likely needed along with a right back, center back, and at least one, if not two, forwards to replace Falcao and van Persie. The Guardian have gone as far as to say that terms have been agreed on this deal.

confirmed by his agent no deal has been done.
