Thanks lads. I had a feeling it would be Palace Man U in the final again when they beat West Ham in their quarter final replay.
It's ironic though: here we are again, Palace up against a struggling Utd - but where the FA Cup saved Ferguson's bacon and arguably laid the groundwork for the entire reign of success that was to come, winning the FA Cup won't mean jack for LVG's ongoing employment prospects. So if we do end up losing it'll hurt even more because at least that legacy sprang out of our heartache 26 years ago, but now it's just some pointless trinket to the big clubs and LVG will still be out on his ear in the summer, whereas it would mean so much more to Palace. Sure, I myself said I'd trade the cup for 3 league points but now we're virtually safe and in the final, so I wouldn't change it for the world! ![]() Fingers crossed the charity shield will be Leicester vs Palace in August. ![]() |

If United win the F.A cup i still say it will buy LVG time for another season as United manager.
But i do want Palace to win it as it would change things for the club and we could witness more teams like this stepping up to another level and make the Premier League more competitive next season. |

Amen brother! I'm hoping for both our sakes that United decide not to turn up. If Spurs win tonight, which is very likely, we're going to basically only have a two game buffer and with our last three games being United, Everton, Chelsea you have to hope that each of these hot and cold teams all decide to run cold when we turn up or it's going right to the wire. And with Spurs having Chelsea, Southhampton and Newcastle all to play, you might argue they have the best odds. Even if those games ave the potential to be very tricky.

And the spuds have surely blown it! YESSSSS!!!!!!
What a great way to win the title if you can do it at Old Trafford of all places, that'd be sweet as ****. And then Palace beat 'em in the cup final, oh how the mighty have fallen. ![]() |

The fairy tale might not come true for all of us. Oh I hate the suspense and sheer torture of footy!

Chills me to the bone every time I think of that awful day. I've had the ESPN Hillsborough documentary sitting on my PC for ages because I could hardly bring myself to watch it but it had to be done, today of all days. I've still got tears in my eyes, powerful stuff.

In case people wonder why I dread seeing Clattenburg listed as our referee:
![]() I see Sam's been stirring the pot again, saying the Palace players have all been out on the sauce after the semi final and they won't turn up against Newcastle blah blah. He loves having a dig at Palace, I never liked him when he accused Palace (under Dougie Freedman) of being a 'direct' side after a game a few years ago - excuse me?!? It's not the accusation I mind because they revert to hoofball like so many lower rung teams tend to do, it's where the accusation came from: the bloke who basically pioneered tough-tackling hoofball as a long term tactic for staying in the Premier League! ****. Besides which, while Palace smashed Newcastle 5-1 at home earlier in the season we have a DIABOLICAL record at St James's in all competitions, for some reason we never turn up, not even when the games mean something. |

To be honest, Big Sam has insulted most teams and managers in his time. It's part of his way of doing things. I wouldn't take it personally. Look at Ferguson! He insulted teams every other week for decades! ![]() Anyway, massive weekend of football. Good luck to all. I am ******* dreading it. PizzaMorg, fate awaits! ![]() |

Bah. Sorry we couldn't even get a point up there Steedy, but we really do have a tragically bad record there (won once in the last 45 YEARS). When an old Palace boy wants to make a point he always manages to screw us over but in the reverse situation Cabaye missed a penalty against his old side today. ****'s sake. Sorry again Steed.
