Apparently James McCarthy also re-injured himself playing for Ireland the other day, and he played against the wishes of Everton medical and managerial staff's wishes. What's going on with these Irish players of ours dropping like flies? Geez.

Next up for them is Man City and Swansea for the Spurs. We could be seeing a 4-point deficit by next week. This is starting to get interesting.

Zero chance of Chelsea blowing it for me.

Maybe not, but the gap closing to four points could make the run in a LOT more interesting than it was looking just a couple of weeks ago.

Sorry about today mate, it really does look like there's no magic escape act on the cards this year.

As for Chelsea, we beat them 2-1 away last season too (which basically started off Mourinho's slide there) so their fans are no doubt starting to call us by our proper name: Crystal ****ing Palace

Didn't even expect it to be this close right now. I could swear they were running away with it not too long ago. Still think they close out, but it sure got a lot more exciting.

Love, love the heart Palace showed today. When you know you're completely outgunned and on hostile ground, that was one helluva fight they put up.

Cheers Geoff, the club are ripping my heart out this year. Not even going down with a fight. Tha is what is getting to the fans. That's not the Sunderland we know. No pride in the shirt and that clown of a manager has just declared he intends to stay next season. I can see that wiping a few season ticket sales off next seasons totals. It really is grim. I can see it turning very toxic next home game against Man U.

That's was the exact heart my club showed last season under big Sam. The sad sad irony is that we lost him for nothing because of the England farce and now we have a clown and are going down while big Sam continues to rescue clubs who look doomed and build for the future. It really does feel like all the cards are stacked against this club of mine. Nothing seems to work out well. Just when we were turning the corner with a manager who knew what he was doing.
I ******* hate Moyes and our director (Ellis Short)

I am pleased for Geoff because he is a good lad but it really bloody hurts. Especially knowing Newacastle are coming up again.

Back to Palace, Sam will get the very best out of those players. Even the wayward ones. It was a great win and I think two wins will do it.

I've missed a lot of posts.

What's the word Tob, is A.W. staying on as manager or easing our collective pain by leaving after this season?

Yesterday I was actually hoping we would lose to drop further away from the top 4 and put more pressure on him and the Board.

The whole Wenger issue is getting embarrassing now a decision has to be made but the board won't do it penton.
He is given too much power and i want the pressure to continue because its the only way for this club to wake up and i hope we don't get a Champions League place because it will only encourage this board and Wenger to carry on.
The latest rumour i heard yesterday was the board were thinking of bringing a ex player or coach to help Wenger but if that was to happen it will not make a difference we need change.

At this point, I'm so frustrated I'm almost tempted to hire one of those planes with the banners to fly around the stadium encouraging him to go.

The worst thing about it is that I heard he's made a decision, but won't reveal it. Keeping fans and players in limbo like that serves no productive purpose at all in my eyes.

And if he thinks winning the FA Cup will somehow salvage the season, he's completely bonkers. I hope Man City blows them out in the semi regardless.

b.t.w. Geoff good job with Chelsea.

You've at least served to make winning the Prem title a wee bit more interesting.

Steed I think it may be good you're going down because wouldn't it be nice for a change to attend matches where Sunderland are truly competitive and you can enjoy some wins.

That's ****ing bonkers. You gotta be shitting me, Moyes.

I love this part,

Quote:
The Black Cats boss said the club's hierarchy were aware of the comment at the time but the FA will speak to Sunderland and Moyes to get his version of events.
What version? You said those exact words. Nothing was taken out of context or lost in translation.

David Moyes didn't really do anything wrong here just the sad people who look to complain and to get attention.
The media and the F.A should get off the P.C bandwagon along with the others and focus on more serious issues.

Exactly this Tob. This was a few weeks ago. He apologised to the lady in question and she accepted the apology. It was a stupid, stupid thing to say but in my opinion, this is just someone trying to stir the pot. That someone (also my opinion) I suspect is north east based if you catch my drift?

I hate Moyes but this is being blown out of proportion like Tob said. Why has it just came to light now? It's obvious what is going on.
