If all the conditions below are met, both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ are enabled. In that case, playback in HDR10+ format takes precedence. – The playback media or content is recorded in both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ formats. – Both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ are supported by the connected device (TV, etc.). – Both this function and “HDR10+ Setting” are set to “On”. |

Have you tried formatting the flash drive to FAT32 (not EXFAT) before copying the music files onto it? |

The 2010 model Panasonic Blu-ray players with a SDXC card slot, is able to read FAT, FAT32, and exFAT. The 2016 OPPO UDP-203 can read NTFS, FAT, FAT32, and exFAT. I would hope the latest Panasonic Blu-ray players can do the same. If not maybe Panasonic can issue a firmware update to support all the above file formats.

Robert I sincerely thank you for all the help. Unfortunately nothing works the USB DRIVE is even FAT32. I gave 2 weeks left for a return so I’m going to give Panasonic a chance to fix this issue.

HDR10+ support was included in the original manual TQBS0258-1 that I had downloaded before Dolby Vision support was added so it had no mention of HDR10+ priority. |

I had problems initially but it was due to the BS limitations of ARC; zero problems once I ran the UB820 through the receiver instead of the TV. |

I had some problems when 820 was connected via WiFi, but after connecting it with a network cable I've had zero problems. |

I can post a pic when I get home tonight, but it’s not going to show you much other than artist/album/track info and the album artwork.

FWIIW: I don't have that many exotic filetypes but I pulled four different ones together in a folder which I put on a USB-stick and also in a folder on my NAS. All played fine.
I have set the Audio HDMI output on the 820 to video+audio and I have overlayed my Onkyo receiver's information popup of what it is receiving (and outputting). Last edited by rickardl; 08-12-2019 at 03:54 PM. |

Thanks yeah mine won’t either. My receiver isn’t showing the correct file signal. Pretty wack for a player with HI Resolution Audio stamped on the box. It won’t play discs anymore either.

Sounds like you either have a misconfigured setting somewhere in your gear/chain, or unfortunately have a lemon. It works fine as advertised on our end.

It worked fine as advertised on my end at first except music for the first two weeks. When a 4k blu Ray won’t load and just cycles back to the home screen that’s not a setting issue. I exchanged it so hoping that fixes my issues. This product was my first lemon and I’ve definitely never had to ask on a forum how to configure something for playback. Until this weekend music would always play but it wouldn’t show the file type ie: ALAC OR FLAC. Filmfreakasorsus and the nice poster who posted the pictures is the only two people I’m aware of who even understood the questions I was asking. Anyway hoping the exchange fixes it since definitive proof has been posted by one person it can be done.

Ok.... newbie(probably stupid) question, but I've never tried anything like this before, so apologies now....
Is it possible to run this player to/through two different audio sources, and have it work on whichever one is actually on? Specifically, if I wanted to connect it to an atmos soundbar via the HDMI for watching movies, but also connect it via analog or optical to my old Yamaha receiver just for listening to CDs?? Or would having it connected to both just confuse it, and I'd have to manually change something in the settings for each activity?? |
