The problem with the above thread is that the title is specific to the French region per amazon.fr, not addressing the interest of Disney•Pixar Ratatouille 3D world wide.

It always does as a precautionary measure before the title's released. I expect to see this in the US eventually, though. There was an 11 month gap between the release of UP 3D in the UK and America.

Isn't the 2D disc of UP actually region locked while the 3D disc is not in the UK set?

According to the markings, it's region-free, but I haven't checked.

I would consider importing this, as I never bought the film one yet.

Still need Frozen though! Think I may just wait for the USA release at this point, as long as it does come by October/November.

For the UK's Disney•Pixar's UP The 2D Blu-ray disc is region B locked. Verified (I have it). 3D Blu-ray disc is region-free.
The "set" includes 3 discs: a Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray 2D and a Blu-ray Bonus Features disc.

has the audio specs been announced? what is it? many US reviews of the US version negate the fact it's DTS matrixed ES (6.1) sound.

I may get this. I have had good luck so far in region free 3D blus. We enjoy this movie a lot. So it would be cool to watch it in 3D. Thanks for the link.

Like Up, since the 2D UK Ratatouille is region B-locked, the 2D disc in the UK 3D version will probably be locked too. Just a heads up for any region A importers bothered by that.

From the Amazon UK site, it states "region free". This means it will play in all Blu-ray 3D supported players. As noted, I've had good luck in all region free 3D blus.

BleedOrange11 is saying the 2D Blu-ray in the Ratatouille [Blu-ray 3D] set will probably be region-B locked as it was with the UP 3D combo set @ amazon.co.uk. The 3D disc in the set is [region-free] but not the rest of the combo set.

i.e.
Amazon.co.uk lists UP [Region Free] combo set as Up [Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray] [Region Free],
BUT the UP 3D combo set contains:
• 3D Blu-ray disc = [Region Free]

• 2D Blu-ray disc = [Region-B locked]

• Bonus Features Blu-ray disc [Region-B locked]

I went ahead and pre ordered this. Already have the 2D bluray from the original release so only care about the 3D release. Estimated delivery July 28-Aug 1 so will post results in regards to region free-region locked for each of the discs. With international shipping it came out to roughly $28.00 US. Not bad in my opinion.

I am, cause it's my favourite Pixar film, but I am not buying it yet. I will hold of for the US release, when that happens. I want the digital copy and hopefully a good slipcover and artwork.
