Anybody who has T2 Trainspotting gets an A+ in my book. Lots of other good titles in there as well. Mainstream and off the wall stuff. Great collection of time fillers. [9.9/10].

Side note - I've always wondered about people who buy films of certain productions. Do you buy them just because they are put out by those production companies or do you actually like all those B movies?

I don't know how this works but if anyone wants to critique my small BD/4K collection? Feel Free. I don't have VHS/DVD listed so that's why it's so small. That's what she said anyways...

Your collection may be small but there’s a lot of great stuff in there. 7.5/10

Appreciate the comments. As to your question, it depends on what type of genre the production companies put out such as the film noir classics as I'm a huge fan of the genre. For other genres, I often look at a specific filmmaker who I've seen a couple of movies off of their filmography and generally gravitate towards whatever special sets are put out. But other times, I do like to take a chance based upon word of mouth or curiosity. For the most part, I'm often surprised by the blind buys and am seldom disappointed with my purchases.

What an excellent showcase! Your 4K collection is aspirational for me.

Easily a 10/10

Almost 8k films = you win!

From classic to modern to foreign to music to animation to you name it, though I'm only giving you a 9 because it's too mainstream for my tastes... (nice to see some blaxsploitation in there at least! )

Otherwise.. how can you go wrong?

I am in awe of the size and quality of your collection, but I am more entertained by your category titles. WELL DONE! I LOVE them. I have done similar things to my titles as well.

You are AWESOME!!!

Looks like you have quite a nice collection of movie, One-Way Films. I think the previous poster's rating of '10' was accurate. Nice job of obtaining movies you want. I noted you have 'GREASE' in 4k.

→ Time for a bad joke: What 1957 movie is about the manufacture of cookie sheets? PRE-GREASED (!!). Told you it was bad.

-------------------------------------

Anyone welcome to rate my meagre pickings. To date, 'My Collection' is accurate.

I am angling to pick up more discs from Kino-Lorber and Olive Films as this year progresses . . . I believe Olive has recently declared bankruptcy or some such so I need to get on the stick and get more.

As it is, the vast majority of my 'home media' collection is 6300 VHS tapes, which date back to 1987 when I was age 14. (I have 5 Paramount tapes of "Silver Bullet" (1985). They continue xx multiplying xx like 'Video Rabbits' as I didn't remember buying that many . . . ).

----------------------

I will continue adding discs to 'My Collection' as I'm almost done listing the ones I've rounded up.

All the great collections have started from small beginnings, so this is a good start, and I'm sure that in a few months' time this one will already have taken off

5/10 of encouragement dude

^ We have around 200 movies in common which is pretty great. You also have a lot of flicks i just do not care for or would ever want to watch again. But i guess that comes with just the sheer amount of movies you have.

8 / 10
