Now that's a horror collection if i ever saw one, very nice. You know what you like and i certainly can appreciate that ... even some Asian gems are in there. All in all a cool genre collection. 9 / 10

Really like the way you have your collection organized. Some great titles in every category, with plenty of must haves. It's cool how action oriented your collection is, love a good action film. Only complaint you have Catwoman, but no points taken away for that lol. A great collection that would be easy to find something to watch out of. 10/10

It’s such a small collection but you have movies I like. I’m going to give it a 2/10 just for the size of it. Good luck building up your collection.

I’d say 9/10 due to sheer size and some great titles. I’d like to see more Criterion’s in there! Jealous of that LoTR Extended Collection. Been waiting for a good deal on that one! Always appreciate a good horror selection too.

Definitely some movies in your collection I would never watch, but that is the case with everyone I guess!

Overall, we have about 100 in common, and you have some others I would love to own, or at least watch.

I'd give it a solid 8.5/10.

10/10 Absolutely overwhelming collection! Even though we have dissimilar tastes (I've got a lot more emphasis on animated films and musicals), there's a lot here that I really enjoy. I gleaned several titles that I didn't realized had BD releases while perusing your list! Thanks!

This is without question from a quality point of view, a 10/10 collection.

But for the purposes of this thread, I'll have to score it differently. In my DVD days, I had amassed a collection that was touching on 3,000 titles. I had practically every Oscar nominated/winning movie that was available, almost everything and anything that was popularly critically acclaimed/underrated, practically every single box set of anyone and anything that Warner Brothers released and I was an actor completionist, but a collection that large brought me nothing but misery. The thought of having to go into my home cinema room and try and choose a title out of all that to watch that night would have me in cold sweats and possibly an accident in my pants.

I sold off the bulk of my collection in the very early 2010's and have been upgrading to blu ray only those catalog titles which I truly love(for the person after me, please don't laugh at some of my true loves!)

That's not to say that I think that the titles I did not upgrade to Blu or titles that are included in your collection but not mine, are all movies I dislike(some, yes), but they are just titles that I was happy to tick of the must watch before I die box, but have little repeat viewing value beyond perhaps a once or sometimes twice type deal for me. Not something I would look forward to revisiting repeatedly for different reasons. Raging Bull and The Deer Hunter as examples, great movies but both are very depressing and therefore not something that would fill me with joy and hope for humanity on repeat viewings. I still have a handful of those types of movies on Blu that made the upgrade, Platoon would be the first that comes to mind.

I still have about 150 titles to upgrade from the remains of my DVD collection to Blu when they become available and/or at a price I can afford. I have an imaginary Warner Archive wish list in my head of around another 20+ (looking at you Carbine Williams and Forced Vengeance, what a double bill that would be!) movies and thats my collection done.

So given that very long winded explanation as to why you should in no way take my score as an insult, I'd have to give your collection, giving the reasoning that if I was handed your collection and I was told that it was now mine, I'd probably have a nervous breakdown, so my score would have to be 2/10 due to how few matches are between our collections if I folded mine into yours.

Sir, as someone who has The Apple and Breakin' 2 Electric Boogaloo in their collection, I am not in a position to laugh at others!

You have good taste. Okay we don't have complete overlap - I would rather eat shards of broken glass than watch the Death Race remake again - but there's some great cannon flicks in there, loads of Kung Fu, and the only good two Jaws flicks. My only complaint is that I've never been a fan of not breaking the discs up into their own sub-categories. But I shan't hold it against you.

F it. I'm in a generous mood. 10 out of 10 (with a .5 deduction for all the discs being under Owned ).
