You have a few romantic comedies I wouldn't own and you're light on animation and foreign. 6/10.

You just made me a happy man. =)

First time I've ever been eating a bologna and mustard sandwich and smiled.

Big selection of films, with lots of genres, similar tastes. Giving you a 9/10 which is a great score. reason you got -1 was because your collection is so huge that in my opinion you have to many filler movies.

Like a bad crab cake. Too much filler. lol

The ones that were unconsented additions are:

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
Dracula: Untold
Eight Below
San Andreas, and the Twilight films.

It's a sad fact that I love independent rom-com and they were intentional purchases. I JUST LIKE 'EM! I do watch them alone however.

I REALLY like your collection, you have some great titles in there. You DO have some I might never own, but that's ok....you have a well-rounded QUALITY of films.

My only complaint is that you have no categories. It's difficult to see what your strongest genres are, but it's obvious you enjoy horror films. Using the categories makes it difficult to rate you more honestly.

But I still like your collection. I hope you will organize your collection into categories, I would love to rate you again if you do.

7.5/10 Would have been 9.5, but I take 2 full points off for lack of categories.

I just looked at your collection. It is impressive. Your "TV-on-DVD" section is absolutely fantastic. Envy inducing. For me that gives you a 10+ in and of itself... ...you have good taste.

I have tried to categorize several times. I wind up shuffling everything around; naming and renaming alignments; I wind myself up trying to make distinctions.

War/Western
Horror/Sci-Fi
Action/Adventure
Crime/Drama
Thriller/Suspense
Highbrow Comedy
Slapstick Comedy
Animation
Televison

Do I separate even further?
Action - Martial Arts vs. Action - Indiana Jones
Crime - Goodfellas Vs. Crime - Three Fugitives

Three Fugitives is a comedy so I move it to comedy. Pink Panther is comedy but it's more sophisticated than Turner & Hooch.

Three hours later it's all back to owned.

I made up unique descriptions for my categories, i think it is better than just all of them in Owned. Interesting titles in there, 165 in common, like what you like buddy [8.5/10]

9/10 great collection, lots to choose from, might be to many to choose from as I see a lot of filler movies in my opinion...

Mr. Rz

I have a question. The question is not just for you, it's for all of us to answer, so don't think I'm being snippy or have taken a simple statement and made into a declaration of war. The question; filler? What is the definition of "filler" in each of our personal dictionaries?

I don't think it's hurtful terminology. I just need examples of filler in regard to Blu-Ray collections.

My first thought is that it means movies that either get heavy syndication on television and are cheapened by mass appeal, OR, movies that are too obscure to bring up in the lunch room without getting shunned by your peers.

El cheapo is my second thought. Second or third pressings with uninspiring cover art; dump bin material.

Remember I just figured out what "amaray" meant a few days ago; not as obvious as "steelbook" is it?

Looks like a fun collection, but you need categories. It helps a browser see what you are really into. Also, to sift through 3 pages of ordered titles? 7.5/10

6/10 Way to many sub categories, personally not a fan of it. Nice collection of catalog titles though, many holes to fill but no olive, 1 kino and 5 criterions?

FYI, I just picked up Brotherhood of the Wolf on eBay from blowitouttahere. It's a Korean release, region A to boot. Still haven't had a chance to watch it to comment on it, it's a studio canal release so it should be fine.

No worries I understand bud.

So Filler in my brain and the way I see/use the word Filler is the following:

- you have movies in your collection that you really do not care for much but you have it/purchased it because it was super cheap and said what the heck let me grab it and add it to my collection even though the film might not be the best at all... I have seen many people do this so that there collection size increases over time a lot faster than if you were only to purchase films you really enjoy only from time to time. Typically if someone were to only purchase films they truly love/enjoy and "must haves", they usually have less than 1K in there collection (Based only on Blu-ray Format). I can keep explain on and on and give a couple more examples but I think you may get the concept I am saying.

(Keep in mind that I completely understand that everyone's choses and tastes in movies are very different and nobody is the same)

Hope this makes sense bud And please people do not start bashing me for what I think/believe, everyone has there own opinion and I spoke mine because a fellow member asked me too.

Holy shite! That's a lot of movies. A bunch of great titles. 9.5/10 for that. However, no categories made it a slog to get through. No offense.

Ah man, everyone is going to tell you the same thing, so here it goes:

Categories!

I have the same problem with mine, I have about 100+ titles where I'm thinking "comedy? comedy drama? drama?"

Solid 8 for the collection, loving the horror titles and oddball stuff like Eagle vs. Shark.

Giving you a 9/10 which is a great score. You have a HUGE collection of blu ray's which is good and bad. Lots of Genres to choose from which is a plus. The bad of having such a large collection is the same as I tell everyone, lots of filler movies in my opinion... (Keep in mind this is just my opinion so do not start to bash me on this)

If you need an explanation on what I believe filler movies are, you can look up a couple of post and you will see it there.
