Very, very strong collection.

Tons of titles, well-organized, and overall pretty decent quality control considering the sheer bulk. Some older action movies are pretty cheesy, but I appreciate that kind of cheese so it doesn't detract anything.

10/10.

Organization goes a little too far, though. I don't think "the classics" should be a genre in and of itself, the movies should just be listed in their genres like everything else. I was about to question your sanity when I didn't see any Leone movies in your western section, but then I saw them in "the classics". Just a small nitpick.

7.5/10 - A lot of titles I don't particularly care for.

I have plenty foreign films in my collection that I like to watch again from time to time it just seems like you took a quick look at my collection and missed some that are not Criterion. I have seen many “contemporary, arthouse, an classic titles” that you speak of and in many cases with me most are great films and should be viewed once but also for me most don’t have any replay value hence no reason for me to own them. I base my purchase of a Blu-ray on how entertain the film is to me because at the end of the day that’s what matters the most. I find it funny that a collection is rated high just because that person’s collection consist of many foreign films that an average person wouldn’t even know but automatically assume they are great films but most of the time they’re not and some are just plain boring and no I don’t just watch Michael bay films but just speaking from past experience. By looking at your collection it seems like you focus mainly on “Contemporary, arthouse, an classic titles” which is cool and most I’ve seen but on a entertainment level your collection suffers to name a few The Queen, 21 Grams, Sunrise, Winter’s Bone these are consider good films by many but for me they are movies I would never watch again or own but that’s just me.

Next person rate Todd_Gaines not me.

8/10 You could use some more Box-sets, but at least you have the Star Trek Box-set.

I generally don't like box sets. I hate the packaging. I'd rather buy individual titles. You would have had to pay me to own the Alien box.

9/10. Throw some Criterions in the mix, there's quite a few you might like.

A nice overall collection albeit a bit heavier on anime than I personally would like to have in my own collection. It does has some good Criterion titles and excellent TV show sets. For a collection nearing 300, it has minimal filler movies. There are some blockbuster movies I'm surprised to see missing and even a Battlestar Galactica and/or Band of the Brothers set would round out your TV collection. I'd give it an 8.9/10
