The History Behind the Blu-ray Collection of OrlandoEastwood

Orlando Eastwood was born in Mexico, the son of Tony Orlando, an actor and amateur musician who was born in Queens, New York, and Connie McHugh, a nurse. Orlando's father is of Italian descent and his mother is of Irish and Cherokee ancestry. He was raised by his mother, as his parents separated before his birth. When he was two years old, he moved to Ohio and later to the Harbor City neighborhood where he went to Fleming Junior High School in Lomita and took drama classes. He attended Narbonne High School in Harbor City for his freshman year before dropping out of school at age 15, to attend an acting class full time at the James Best Theater Company in Toluca Lake.

As a former employee of the Video Archives, a now-defunct video rental store in Ohio Beach, he discussed cinema and customer video recommendations at length. He paid close attention to the types of films people liked to rent and has cited that experience as inspiration for his collection of blu-rays. Orlando Eastwood has been quoted as saying, "When people ask me if I went to film school I tell them, 'no, I just buy films.' "

In June of 2008, Orlando discovered https://www.blu-ray.com and from then on, he has been on a tear collecting a wide variety of films from all over the world - buying impressive imports such as a French blu-ray of The Brotherhood of the Wolf and the extremely rare UK blu-ray of Battle Royale.

People ask Orlando if he'll ever stop buying blu-rays but he said, "I can't - it's an addiction. The biggest issue right now is my wall space. I don't know whether I can tear down my collection of horror movie posters to make more room for blu-ray shelves."

Orlando's collection is an amazing collection of cinema. As many may agree, his collection gets a:

9.5 out of 10 Stars

Bravo, Mr. OrlandoEastwood.

Whoa. Huge collection you have there, Jak. I envy some films in your collection. I wish I'd have the funds to buy everything at once. I did notice some films I don't particularly care for but overall very solid collection. 8/10!

Just bought a few new ones so my collection desperately needs a new rating.
