as someone who collects film scores, this is the original score and not a re-recording. The sound is good, there are audio imperfections distortion on the Overture and other pieces esp on the theme. This is the first time I've owned the score at all. I listened to several tracks with on my Sennheiser HD 598 headphones. Would be interested in what other audiophiles who listen to film scores in general think of this CD release. At the least it is a nice bonus in the box set.

Cool, thanks. Was wondering if there were any remastering improvements over the last time the original score was released (I know the source material is gone so it'll never sound great.) Still trying to decide if I should go for the LE.

This reminds me of the plastic outer piece that came with my "The Shield" Complete Series" DVDs, The outer plastic case on that is so brittle i had to send it back 3 times from Walmart, and I finally just gave up. Just handling pulling the inner case out breaks the cheap, brittle plastic outer case.
