You're not alone. I've seen parts of this movie on TV growing up but never saw the whole thing-- this and Lean's other epic, Doctor Zhivago-- but I did enjoy his other films that I've seen-- The Bridge on the River Kwai, Summertime and A Passage to India. Looking forward to finally watching this on HD. Ordered the 2-disc edition.

+1

I've never seen it either.

I'll consider "blind buying" it once the price drops to $9.99.
$19 is to much to pay for an old catalog title.

Right there with ya! I've plans to pick this up on Blu because I've heard about this film my whole life and how "must see" it is and for some reason or another this is one of those movies that always seems to fly under my radar.

I've yet to The Godfather for Gods sake!

I tried a PM with amazon, they said no.

But if they hear from a lot of us, perhaps they'll lower their price before official release...

Thanks for posting. Can you please let us know what the item no. is on the price sticker? So that if any of us would like to check our Costco warehouse to have one of the associates check we could easily just give them the item no. Thank you.

Definitely thinking about getting this. I don't have any ultimate collectors editions for any movie, and perhaps this will break that streak.

Stopped by the CNL Warehouse in vancouver to have a look at this today while I wait for my copy to ship out and DAMN is that one fine looking box set.
Things the size of an LP box set, nice and thick too!
No need to worry about this sucker getting damaged in shipping, I can assure you that!
