I plan on spreading this movie out, part one tonight and part two tomorrow. Would someone be so kind as to tell me how long the first part is?

I just sampled the PQ and I have two words to sum it up: HD Camels.

...Amazing! Seriously I only watched a little but I'm confident it's the best PQ I've seen on the format. And incidentally, the most deserving film of such a presentation.

Also, people are posting their frames so I guess I'll join the party. Lots of little details to squint at in mine.

I think I have the worst one so far in the thread.

Anthony Quinn on a horse. Not the "charge" part. Just chilling on a horse.

I have a crap camera that doesn't feel like shooting the dark film cell.

Picked up my CE set at the HMV store in downtown Montreal. It sells for 69.99 $. They had several sets in the blu-ray section. My frame is from the scene when TE Lawrence and Sherif Ali are trying to convince Quinn's character to attack Aqaba. All three actors appear on the frame.

Well, this could easily have been a three disc, 2 BD + 1 CD set. Disc 2 (the one that also comes in the standard Blu-ray edition) is a mere 9,691,304,318 bytes (9.03 GB) in size, and Disc 3 (the Gift Set exclusive BD) is a mere 11,705,912,606 bytes (10.90 GB) in size, which obviously means that all of the extra content could have easily fit on one BD-25 disc, if Sony had only bothered to alter the authoring for the box sets.

And in doing so they could have easily included said disc in the standard edition. But then the UCE wouldn't look as appealing, so that allows them to justify making the same 2nd disc across all editions, and just including a bonus exclusive disc for the CE.

I'm sure any other label would have simply re-authored the extras discs for the box set to consolidate the discs being used (remember, there must be 40,000 of the sets in the U.S. and/or Canada alone), and it seems strange that Sony, of all labels, would have needlessly added an additional disc (and a disc swap for the consumer) instead. But then, I suppose it doesn't matter when you won't get any royalties from the company putting the Blu-ray out.

I knew DeepDiscount.com could be a disaster. I shouldn't have done it. God knows how long it will be on backorder.

Warner did the exact same thing with Ben-Hur, the UCE extras disc could have easily fit onto the disc with the second part of the film. Thankfully the regular UK edition contained all three.

I also wondered why it hasn't shipped yet, so I had another look at the product and it mentions that it takes 5-10 days for it to be shipped.

But I can wait, I'm also in Australia so it will take another 2-4 weeks for it to arrive. So I could be looking for up to a month to get to my door. Once again.....

be nice

I was at B&N today and had the CSR pull it off the shelf for me. I knew it was big, but it was so friggin' big. As much as I'd like to have it, I would have no place to display it; such a shame.

I couldn't wait for mine to be delivered in 2 weeks so I pop my dvd edition last night... this movie es amazing, there are no words to describe this, every frame on this picture is perfect, Lawrence character I think is one of the best movie characters ever written.

To the person who got the fill frame with Lawrence and Ali trying to convince Prince Feisel to attack Akaba, one of the best scenes in the film.
This is one limited edition that is worth every dollar.

SPOILERS ( don't keep reading if you haven't watch the film )

I can't get over don't you think it is so clear the relationship between Lawrence and Ali is portrayed as a love story? and I mean really LOVE story?

in any case, what a movie experience this is.

The extras in the 3rd bluray do seem very interesting to complete this film viewing pleasure.

cheers.
