Just finished this tonight, and all I can say is wow. Fantastic movie. I can't believe it took me this long to get off my ass and watch it.

I have to agree with Retablo, Lawrence made an instant impression on me. But of course Lawrence does have a narrower aspect ratio so I can see detail better. If I'm not mistaken Lawrence also had more vibrant colours.

I'm having serious afterthought of ordering from Deepdiscount.
Again my order is listed as backorder.

Same boat.

Some time ago I had another order cancelled on me (Dr. Goldfoot double feature DVD), not that they ever sent me a note it just changed to cancelled. I waffled since the DDD price was what I had wanted to pay without trying to dig through Walmart DVD bins and miraculously my cancelled order actually shipped to me.

I have hope that Lawrence will ship but the waiting (and the changing status) is killing me

The "limited" nature is what is bugging me

Well, I for one have had enough of Deep Discount. I cancelled my order (wait, I mean my pre-order > back-order > pre-order > back-order!). As a whole they were not instilling any sense of confidence within me (and can only hope this mess ends here with them).

I've read mixed reviews in relation to DD and I can safely say I will not ever deal with them again. As such, Amazon gets my money (though quite a bit more than what DD was going to get), but the UCE of LOA is worth it.

Hopefully my next post will be something pertinent... like a picture of my film frame!

LO LOL, a simple PO box address that Ive been using with amazon for over a decade....
so, Amanzon it is, I am happy anyway, there are only 2 movies where I spend whatever it takes, Blade Runner and Mr. Lawrence,
if I can get as a film cell, the scene where Lawrence spots Sherif Ali for the first time in the desert.... multiple ...

I don't even think the girl from deepdiscount called me "Sir"
I never bought anything at DDD and I never will, I don't think they really care, the way some companies do business I don't understand, I posted this a couple of days back, my amazon shipped today and I will be getting in couple of weeks as I am not in the US.

overall PQ isn't AS good overall as BenHur, but it's also not riddled with a lot of white flecks

Just got this from Deepdiscount (I pre ordered on the 12'th)
I asked them 2 days ago what is going on

Thank you for contacting DeepDiscount.com!

We're sorry to inform you that the items are temporarily out of stock
and unavailable to ship. The items will ship as soon as they become
available. We apologize for the inconvenience and remind you that your
credit card will not be charged until your order has shipped.

Again, thank you for writing DeepDiscount.com. We appreciate your
business.

i replied

I want to cancel this order.
I find your service totally unacceptable.

I've shopped online for more than 10 years and this is the worst ever!
Never again will i go to this online store....NEVER

No..the list is $96. It will be $57.60 if it's 40% off.

It doesn't matter how low the price is if they can't ship it.

Members should be able to get it below $50 pretty easily and 15% coupons for non-members are fairly common as well.

Time will tell.
