Which outer sleeve do you think is nicer (of the standard version), the US edition or the UK edition?

Who else is thoroughly impressed with the book that came with this set?
This aint no fluff piece like most of the ones Warners include in their sets, theres a wealth of information and neat things in this book, and thats aside from the fact that it looks gorgeous too.
This set was well worth the money and is one of the best blu ray releases ever, just as it should have been.

I just cancelled my order with Deep Discount I will never shop with them EVER again. I did not pre-order LoA:UCE just so my order will sit on back order...HORRIBLE!!! I shelled out the extra $money$ and placed my order Amazon...who I have had ZERO issues with over the years.

I think it is a very nice book, but I'm disappointed by the overall definition of the pictures in it. Most of them look quite old, and probably taken from a source which is not good enough to be enlarge so much.

Yep! I'm sorry to hear that. I feel your pain as I ordered from DD once...ONCE! Yeah they have some great deals on a few items, but it's almost never worth the extended wait time. In my case stuff took over a month from release date to get to me. A couple items were already the same price on Amazon by the time I received them. Amazon has been so good to my blu-ray collection, I don't mind paying a little extra(like with the LoA CE) knowing that I'll get a mint copy ON TIME!
Another example of ordering away from Amazon, and this one is a total head-scratcher...but I ordered the Watchmen set from WBSHop...I just got my shipping email yesterday from them, won't be in until next Tuesday. How does Amazon beat WB??
Oh well, I guess everyone has different priorities: price, typically, being high on the list...but, for me, Amazon seems to always deliver on all fronts!

I've read mixed reviews in relation to DD and I can safely say I will not ever deal with them again. As such, Amazon gets my money (though quite a bit more than what DD was going to get), but the UCE of LOA is worth it.

I cancelled it after 5 days of showing backordered... though it did waffle back and forth between that and preordered a couple of times. Had I known that would occur I wouldn't have ordered from them in the first place (reading is my friend, who I ignored until after the fact).

I still can't understand how you can have a pre-order which goes immediately to back-order on release day, unless they are ordering stock after the fact. Either way, not my cup of tea. It also didn't help them with the cookie cutter non-reponse I got when I emailed them about it.

I only shop with Amazon - might not be the cheapest but I've never had issues and items show up on time.

They are old... if you count the late 50s/early 60s old. If that's as good as they can get, then you can't really wish for something that's impossible.

No, not just you! I agree 100%. I don't know how this artwork, along with other candidates for the cover, could've slid across the boardroom table and the suits say: Yeah we'll go with this one.
There are so many poignant scenes in this movie, I would have trouble narrowing it down to 50 potential cover shots! Let alone ONE...but the cover selected would not have made my top100!
