Easily the best Blu-ray in my collection by far. I am also glad that they took the time to do it right. I normally do not like the size and extra swag with collector's editions, but I am very pleased with owning this. This is not just the release of the year. I think it is the best release in this format.

Surprised how many people on here are just now watching this for the first time. I remember watching this when I was like 15 (in my early thirties now) and loving it.

Not knocking on anyone, just surprised.

It was my first time the other day as well and I'm 42 years old. I guess i just never got around to it. I find that Peter O'Toole had a special way of acting that made me love the character. Man did he remind me of Fassbender in Prometheus for some reason lol

Haha!!! Peter O'Toole is great, too bad he's "retired" now.

That's normal, Fassbender used O'Toole acting from Lawrence as a reference, and Prometheus itself makes David reference LoA a few times.

I think he got it, hence the "lol".

I haven't had the chance/time to post about this set yet... But...

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD

I can say, without any hesitation... This is the single Greatest/Most Beautiful Home Video Set I've ever owned... On any format. It's absolutely gorgeous and perfect in every way... And even though it costs $65(which is steep), I somehow feel like I should have paid more(when considering what I've payed for other Blu-Rays).

That's how much anything else I own pales in comparison to this set. And I own quite a few big box/deluxe sets.

And thankfully it(including the plastic slip) arrived in Mint Condition.

The Book is magnificent and HUGE(really love how it's bookended in the Beginning and End with Statements by Spielberg and Scorsese accompanied by their Signatures). The Overall packaging just feels top notch and classy.

The Actual Film(Restoration/PQ) is flawless and beautiful in every single way... Unquestionably the Best Catalog Transfer that Blu-Ray has ever seen.

The Supplements definitely could have been put onto 1 Disc, but hey, it is what it is. The Original Trailer in HD.

Just like I did after the 4K Screening Last Month... I have to send a heartfelt and passionate thank you to Grover Crisp, everyone at Sony/Columbia, Robert Harris and every single other person who played a role in us getting "Lawrence of Arabia" in this way... After years of waiting, and wondering when we were finally going to get this film on the Blu-Ray format. Doubting and questioning why it was taking so long... EVERY SINGLE MINUTE, HOUR, DAY, MONTH & YEAR OF WAITING was worth it in spades.

Between the 4K Screening, and now this Beautiful Blu-Ray Boxset... I now have an even higher opinion of this Masterpiece... And I wasn't sure that was even possible.

Thank You Again.

Oh and BTW...

My Film Cell was from the scene early on in the Map Room... It's a still of Lawrence Holding his cupped hand around and starring at the Burning Match right before he puts it out with his fingers as the other soldiers watch on.

An Iconic Scene... So I'm very happy with the Cell I got.

I think I am lucky. I get to see the movie in 70mm, when I was 12 (now I am 27) in India during a re-release. I also saw it in the recent limited release. Waiting for the price to go down on amazon, to get the set.

Watched this from beginning to end last night. What a beautiful presentation. Easily the best (If not one of the best) in my library.

I totally agree that it is never boring!

Not a huge fan of my film frame (an in-motion shot of Omar Shariff, so there's some motion blurring) but the set arrived in utterly immaculate shape from DeepDiscount for only $49.99, so I ain't griping!
