That was lucky. You got some nice looking frames too, I wonder if anyone got a film frame of a legendary shot? Although what qualifies as "legendary" I don't know myself.

I wonder if anyone got some significant number for their film frame; something like '1', '100', '1000', '9999', and so forth.

What a gorgeous presentation! The image is crystal clear; facial detail and other fine detail is absolutely astounding! I cannot praise the work that Sony and company did bringing this masterpiece to us.

Does anyone have the Sony Rewards code that's supposed to come with this? If so, would it be possible for it to be posted? It's a multi-use code and everyone's should be exactly the same.

Watched last night for the first time in so so many years. Truly a great movie with incredible over the top PQ and great audio for such an old movie. But in the future, I'm going to make sure I actually use the intermission and watch it over 2 nights. No matter how great a movie is, 4 hours is a long time to sit and watch 1 movie. I loved it but was looking forward to the end.

Lucky you! Too bad they're pretty much the same image. On another forum, it was suggested that the frame #s don't match the exact sequential time of the film (31512 would be 21.9 minutes into the body of the film), so it's interesting that the images are pretty much the same and numbered one apart.

Look closer, same scene but two different shots.

If anybody is willing to trade their Exclusive Disc 3 from this set, I would trade either:

Ben Hur: Ultimate Collector's Edition (minus the Exclusive Disc 3 from this set) --- You split the shipping costs with me.

OR

The Ten Commandments: Ultimate Collector's Edition (minus all three Blu-ray discs, but with all three DVD discs intact) --- You split the shipping costs with me.

Both sets are mint and intact. For Ben Hur I can even throw in the Best Buy Exclusive figurine (and outer box for the whole package if you want) if that sweetens the deal. PM me if you're interested.

Hey guys, I might have an audio problem with this disc. I bought the Collector's Edition set and started watching the movie on my 7.1 setup and realized that there's no audio coming out of the Left and Right surround speakers, only the surround speakers at the very back. I have it on Pro Logic II cinema which is supposed to expand the sound to the very back speakers. When I turn Pro Logic II cinema off, the Left and Right surround speakers are on again but obviously the speakers at the very back are off. I turned Pro Logic II cinema on again and the same results happened as when I had it on the first time. Is this a problem with all the blu-rays of this film or just my disc?

Looks like you had an audio issue with both this AND Ben-Hur. That, to me, suggests something is wrong with your setup.
You might want to go to the Audio forum and look up your receiver model and see if there's a thread for it.

Default 4-disc version or 2-disc version?

Maybe it's been discussed earlier in this 69 page thread, but for the benefit of a new member, I'd appreciate any comments that would help me decide between the 4-disc Collector's Edition and the regular 2-disc version that is about $47 less. Thanks.

This question is about the item on iTunes titled "Lawrence of Arabia (Restored Version)". Is it the same restoration as the one for collector's edition blu-ray?

I'm not sure what anyone can say, one way or another, but it really comes down to your personal preference:
expensive route = more extras, cd soundtrack, box & swag(I personally love it)
cheaper route = same movie with just fewer extras and no box/swag

As I see it, the good news, for you, is this: There is no wrong choice there!

Good things come to those who wait. At the time this was released, I wasn't seeing any decent deals on the Collector's Edition locally (I do tend to buy from brick-&-mortar places if I can, as I've had too many instances of mail-orders with loose discs or broken cases). I ended up getting the 2-disc package, figuring that maybe I'd be able to get the CE later.

Well, today, I was at the local Barnes & Noble to pick up a couple of gift cards, and spotted the CE with a 40% sticker. Since I have a Member Card, there was an additional 10% off. Plus I had a coupon (because of membership benefits) for an additional 30% off. All together, it brought the cost of the set down to $36.28.

Can't beat that with a stick.

Well, after trying to decide which version of LOA to get, box set or regular blu-ray I decided to give myself an early Christmas gift and go for the collector's version. I got the google 25% off coupon yesterday so I thought I would try to use it and an $8. over $40. coupon with it. The clerk, who always let me use the $8. coupon said I couldn't use them both on it so I used the 25% coupon with my 10% member discount to get it for $38.87 + tax. I then picked up the Criterion Topsy-Turvy blu-ray and used the $8. coupon for a total of $13.59 + tax. I must say the LOA set is beautiful and the 70mm film frame looks great too!

Watched this movie earlier today and it
The three, nearly four hours flew by.
If it weren't for Prometheus, I wouldn't even had thought about learning about this masterpiece and eventually buying the blu.
