I wanted to ask, the 3 Bluray version is only in this big box release? (which is also released in some other countries)

There isn't any other release which is more compact that includes all 3 Blurays around the world?
I've searched the database here, but didn't find anything.

Wow, the upcoming steelbook release is gorgeous!

I'm not sure if it was the right decision to completely leave the text off the front cover.

The only way to get all 3 disc (4 if you count the CD also) is to buy this gorgeous set.
Get it, you won't regret it

The thing is I'm not a fan of big boxes. I have one and I've regretted it.

The box has the discs in a standard blu-ray case so there is that.

That's one of the great things about this box. I have the BD along with my others, and the box set is on display on a shelf.
The only thing that would have made this perfect is if the BD came with a slipcover as well.

The book is amazing though, and well worth it. The packaging is of very high quality. I highly recommend getting this one.

I agree. It's been tempting to get this and the Bridge of the River Kwai SteelBook even though I have the Lawrence Collector Box and the Kwai DigiBook. Just 'cuz.

Yes, I know.
But I'd prefer it if i got a compact release for maybe 10euros less too.
because undoubtedly, even with the sale, in the price we pay the deluxe box and the book too.

Hot damn! I'll keep my eyes open if there's a sale for this in the future. This is a repackage correct? No extra features compared with the already available release?

Ok, wasn't sure if you knew about it. What I was thinking was that you could store the box away and have the discs in your regular place where you store your other BD/DVD. But then all that is mute if the price is the issue.

I don't know if you've actually held the set in your hands but the box is really classy, it's put together really well and the product is of a high quality; it's not something that will fall apart only after a few years. It may not be flashy to the eye right away but once you've held it you know that the produces but this set together with love and care. I have the following fancy box sets: Casablanca - 70th Anniversary Limited Edition, The Hitchcock Masterpiece, Bond 50, Twin Peaks: The Entire Mystery, Schindler's List - Limited Edition DVD, Citizen Kane - Ultimate Limited Edition, Mondo Visions 2 disc Premium Collector's Edition Box Set of Possession, Watchman - Collectors Edition, and a handful anime sets from Japan.

The only box set that comes anywhere near, in terms of quality, Lawrence of Arabia set is Mondo Visions Possession set (there is also the Gundam: The Origin Japanese collectors set, but that would just make this more confusing).

So anyway, it's a great set and if you can find it for under $40 and funds are available don't hold out. I was able get my set at a sale for $27. I've rumbled long enough so I'll just shut up.

Don't worry, thanks for the information.
yes, the issue was more about the price. i feel I'm paying more for something i won't be using. (i felt the same about The Sound of Music box that I have)
I purchased it eventually from amazon.
I could have got 3 movies in its place, but anyway...
I have only seen this once in my childhood on TV (and i don't even remember if I had seen it complete. I don't remember anything at all except for the scene with the opening credits which had made an impression on me. I mean the shot from above.)

Ha, I still haven't got around to watching the Blu-ray (I saw it at the pictures in the sixties & had the DVD). I bought it on day one, but thought I won't just watch it, I'll wait for that special time...& it never came (there's a lesson, buy it, watch it). I'm going to watch a great looking Blu-ray that I haven't seen yet on New Years Eve, so it's a choice of: Lawrence Of Arabia, Spartacus, My Fair Lady or...Bad Boys 2

Great idea for New Years!
My Fair Lady on New Years Eve.
Lawrence and Spartacus for an all-day New Years Day treat!!! (Skip the ball games and parades--or their UK equivalent!!) LOL! Enjoy. You DO have a real treat in store. All three of the "biggies" sport the best restorations yet!!!

I have connected Spartacus and Lawrence with Easter, because that's when they played here on TV.

Suggestion: you can stack big box packaging of special edition movies on top of your shelving unit.

Yes, I know.
If you've read all of my posts the main issue was with the price.
I'm not using in any way these boxes, so i don't feel I want to pay more for the release for that.
That's why I always search for more compact versions around the world (Gone with the Wind, Casablanca, Wizard of Oz etc.) which are cheaper.
