It would be rather redundant. Besides, all you have to do is click on a title on this list to see if it's native 4K or not.

Was that guy's post merged from another thread? I thought THIS was the native 4K list.. at least I'm not seeing many that aren't native 4k.

It's why I queried the point of the list on the previous page. Blade Runner 2049 and Joker for example, both have 4K masters, but not all of it was shot at that resolution.

Right, it includes any UHD that was even partially shot in 4K and uses a 4K DI.

Netflix doesn't accept 4k movies that were not mastered in 4k, but Spider-verse, Hotel Transylvania 3, Goosebumps 2 and Angry Birds 2 have been in 4k on Netflix, doesn't that mean they're native 4k?

That rule only counts for Netflix Originals. Especially on the used cameras which require 4K at minimal. And now since some years Netflix also want 4K rendered VFX.

It wouldn't be smart to rule out so many 4K movie versions, while other streamingplatforms have it.

If these movies were 4K finished Sony would have released a 4K DCP for theaters back then.

No. Even if a studio provides Netflix with a 4k master, just like 4k Blu-ray, it could be a 2k upscale with HDR.

As stated above, this 4k rule is for Netflix content exclusives only.
