Yes, UHD only Atmos! Not regular BDs.

Just looking at the front cover of 'Timescapes' ,and what you'd need to do just to get that type of sky/landscape image, having to stack multiple timed exposures and remap different luminance curves between those multiple exposures, far more than it would even be possible through a single exposed frame - - yeah, I think it's a good bet it's employed in some circumstances.

HDR being employed in the original photography does not necessarily indicate that it will be HDR graded on the disc.

I know, just playing with some people's fears, a little, I guess, HDR use/abuse meaning different things to different people. ; ) I would tend to doubt they have the resources to go back and revisit these and employ the wider colr gamut and its' possibilities, here - yeah.

In the martian review it mentions that The Martian is using a 2K master... but it's on here as 4K. Can someone clarify?

UltraHD Blu Ray also opens the opportunity to publish disks with the full 2K master ratio on them instead of the downscaled 1080x1920 version currently on blurays.
I think the difference between 1920 and 2k will not be seen.

and after rendering 16bit master image files, export XML, finally encode to HEVC format.

Any movie that had a Dolby Vision theatrical release, shot digitally, might be added as they used RAW files as in "The Martian" so:

- San Andreas (3.4K)
- Pan (3.4K and 5K)
- Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (3.4K)

Future releases:
- In The Heart of the Sea (2.8K)
- Deadpool (3.4K)

Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials was 2K.. Even Dolby Vision is no guarantee.

I learned that the Dolby Vision DCPs for The Scorch Trials and Everest were both 2K,
