Is there any word on Akira Kurosawa's Dreams? The Criterion Blu Ray is based on a 4K master, should be quite feasible...

I've seen this in a special screening last year, 4K DCP on a huge screen. It's gorgeous in 4K!

Oled can't make WCG colorspace out of non-WCG colorspace, it can't transform 2K resolution into 4K resolution and it can't magic away compression artifacts. HDR is not the only reason for the format.

I'm not sure where you got that impression, as I own neither; I have a TCL.

Regardless, the last time I watched an OLED, ownership of it was not a requisite to evaluating the picture.

Owning an Oled and casually staring at one in a store or at friend's house is not the same. The magic of oled is revealed once you own one and have it fully set up in the right room conditions. Oled truly makes bluray from 4K master look like legit 4K titles.
